sheesh that looks uncomfortable! Shot taken moments before he launched himself and landed on my shirt..act of intimidation perhaps? Can't beat'em, join'em? I followed this guy through the woods for close to 50 feet - from tree to tree...max jump was about 3 feet, and that was miss...he landed at the base of the tree...finally came out on a leafy branch over the frog pond and started calling. ...that seemed to have been his destination from the start.

I think that this is Polypedates braueri, but it might be Polypedates megacephalus. I'm really not sure what the difference is. Somebody needs to bring out an updated book for herps in Taiwan (preferably in English at last!).
