I went walking with my mum after a recent storm and this fallen tree captured my eye. I love it's jaggered edge… It shows beauty but also the harchness of nature.

Good evening, everyone! I hope you've thoroughly enjoyed your day! The ice tree captures continue through tomorrow, then I promise I'll shift gears to bring warmer subjects to all my friends still dealing with bitter cold...we're back to more normal winter temps here, highs in the mid-60s, lows in the 40s...it feels more like January in Bama again! LOL : )

This old oak tree didn't survive the 2004 Cedar Fire. So sad.
If you view this Large and look really closely on the left side of the trunk, you can see a rope swing. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't feel very comfortable swinging on a dead tree.

Legend of the Greenman like any other legend is assumed by most people as stories concocted by those of an earlier generation who had attempted to describe an experience which may have been beyond their level of comprehension.
But this image of what appears to be a mans face emerging as part of the leaves of a tree captured at Mendon Ponds, New York, may very well prove that some legends perhaps had been based more on fact than imagination. Where belief then plays a crucial role in our overall comprehension.
