A previously unpublished shot from March 2018. We just had our first sprinkling of snow for the season here in South Lanarkshire, Scotland, with more expected in the next few days. This shot hails back to the March 2018 snowfall dubbed "The Beast from the East" as it arrived on a blast of Siberian wind. Stay warm and safe everyone!

Another first for this year - and a happy surprise! I didn't have my macro lens with me, but I think the 35mm coped pretty well.
A walkway through woods at Symonds Yat, near the English/Welsh border... wasnt keen on the colour, or mono version, so had a play and settled on the half 'n' half version!!!
A Killdeer treads lightly through the water in search of food, a rather quick little bird, hard to photograph sometimes because it's always on the move. I was fortunate enough to come across a few of these in a marshy area that I frequent.

I processed this one quite a while ago and didn't record it so your guess is as good as mine what I might have done with it. I printed this for a card last week.
Home time was great, hung out with the grandkiddies, and limited walking to give the sore hip more time to heal. Getting better, but probably gonna be awhile before I'm back to 100%.
Mean time, I picked up a loaded trailer last night at our drop yard and delivered this morning. Unfortunately next load doesn't pick up until 8 pm and is only 140 miles away. So, got some time, gonna catch up on Flickr a bit, then head to pickup and hope they will load me early.
This is a picture I took last November.
I don't get many opportunities to drive along the coast. (Pacific Coast, since I mostly drive western states these days. Over the years I have driven a semi in all 48 contiguous states, as well as much of Canada.)
Back in November on my way to Toledo Oregon from the Portland area I headed west to the 101 Pacific Coast Highway and was able to stop a few times to enjoy the ocean views and take a few pictures. This one was taken just north of Newport Oregon from the bluffs that over look the beaches and ocean. I use to road and mountain bike back before trucking, but never rode a bike like this guy was riding with those huge tires. Looks like it worked pretty well even in the sand, a great workout I'm sure.
The entrance to what's left of old farm features this setup(a cattleguard,Thanks Warren!) that's supposed to keep the cows in.Most of these were made of metal,I haven't ever seen one made of wood before.It's held up pretty well and is extremely photogenic...

Lake States Railway GP40M-3 #1166 leads a passenger extra over the Pere Marquette bascule bridge at Saginaw, Michigan that spans the Saginaw River on a fine autumn morning. The American Bridge Company planted this massive work of steel in this spot in 1944. With large vessel boat traffic no longer running this protion of the river, it is no longer a need for it to be operational and is in the locked position.

Candid street photography from Barnsley, England. My assignment in Barnsley was not made easier by the vast amount of construction going on in the town. Buildings being pulled down and built up, footpaths close and roads being pedestrianised. It was a bit of a ghost town at the time I was there. Enjoy!

While visiting the town of Salmon Arm, I like to have a peak at the many farming areas. Here, deep tread marks have been left in the field from the huge wheels of a farming vehicle. They do however present an interesting graphic when fronting the farming home.
The suns harsh rays brighten the mid ground helping to draw the viewers eyes into the shot. This was because the clouds above were separated and moving quickly across the sky
