med eit og anna stusseleg blad
på ei og anna naken grein.

This is a very old tree trunk, designed for the flow of water. On the bottom right side of the picture, you can see a pipe. This pipe pour water coming from a cold stream of water, on the trunk and the slope of the trunk below is in such a way that the water flows through it downwards, in all the bowls that are carved into it, for buffering the water.
