One of my favorite parts of flying is having a window seat and having amazing views out the window such as this! This photo was taken during a September 2010 trip to Traverse City, Michigan.
We traversed this slope for over an hour. Very loose and awkward. When we got to the end, we spent another 1.5 hours thrashing along an awkward rocky ridge. But hey.. the views were great.
While in Traverse City I started trying to shoot flowers and do some DOF work with the many layers of flowers in the wide flower bed. I was cautions with the exposure/editing because the upper right blew out and the foreground was a little dim. In Ludington I spoke with Brad Reed of Todd/Brad Reed Photography and got some great advice for editing RAWs and making the colors so vibrant and the scene "pop."
