Going down the memory lane, I remember visiting this rocky town called Ramanagara, which is popular for many reasons. Firstly, the city has a unique landscape of granite hills, stretching 50 kms, dating back to lower Proterozoic Era. Secondly, the place is a trekkers paradise. The hilly landscape and the wide open spaces of relatively untouched nature makes Ramanagara a beautiful escape. Finally, this is the place, where the legendary movie-‘Sholey’ was made, entirely.

Lofoten is a popular destination, attracting lots of visitors, but it also holds a special allure for tough bikers in leather suits. They've always impressed me. On the ferry from Meskenes to Bodø, as I was leaving the Lofoten, I couldn't resist taking some pictures of them. When they are bored and tired, and their Harley Davidsons are parked deep in the belly of the ship, they suddenly don't look as tough anymore..

Helsinki is a bit off the normal “Scandinavian tourist trail,” in summers and in winters. Compared to its neighbors, Helsinki is more green, filled with numerous historical elements, set on a waterfront and an overall aesthetic city filled with friendly people and travelers. The winters here are quite different from other snow covered places. Here the temperatures are constantly below several degrees from zero and it gets extremely cold. Nonetheless, not causing inconvenience to people.

Driving back from Yakima, Washington on the I90, this amazing view of this mountain range beckoned us to stop and capture it. It was captured near Cle Elum, WA.

This was the cold month of Feb, winters in Ladakh, the mornings are cold so are evenings and nights, with constant negative temperature round the clock. We decided to step out to take a glimpse of the sky. We drove to Sindhu Ghat for open space, and got out of the car to see these, millions of tiny little twinkling stars with Milky Way clearly visible with bare eyes. With lights in the distant village beneath the mountain, it made a picture perfect settings for one of the best nightscape I have captured till date...

Living through the turmoils and hardships of life, they still somehow manage to radiate happiness and warmth amongst others. I was looking for the photo of me standing next to Mona Lisa and suddenly realized this was a time when scrap-booking was popular and cutting things out of the photo was cool. (sigh)

If anyone has the honor of visiting the Louvre and the Mona Lisa exhibit, then you also know it is to everyone's surprise how small and magnificent she is!

This picture of the Coal Harbour showing its amazing city night skyline was shot from Vancouver Rowing club. The rowing club is on the way to Stanley Park. A must visit place on your next trip to Vancouver, BC.

This was shot without a tripod. It was quite a challenge to get this right.

One of the major canals in England, Grand Union Canal’s main branch is 137 miles long, and runs from Birmingham to London builds up with the noise and busyness of the city, to the space and tranquility of the country, of the old ways of life mixed with new. The Canal navigates following the river and meanders up to Stoke Hammond. The landscape begins quite hilly with expansive woodland and then towards Soulbury flattens to reveal some very well maintained grounds.
