What looks like an excellent log bridge gets you stranded in willow at the tip of a "peninsula." The better ford is 20 meters downstream.
The Thorofare Region gets its name from fur trappers who used it as a relatively easy route through the northern Rockies. The creek is named for them.
Here, he gave a whole impression of a Russian trapper, looking for his pray or was it his way?
He had us rolling with laughter, he is just so witty, the accent spot on, some Flemish words 'Russianised'...
The lighting again was an interesting challenge, because of the hand, ah well I'm sure you'll let me know if I've pulled it off!
From the series: Ex-and impressions.
Hope you are enjoying this?
Many more to come, but for now see the whole set so far for the context and full story.
Thanx, M, (*_*)
Taken on my Nikon F4, negs scanned and retouched lovingly!
A Httyd-themed Lego diorama featuring the Scauldron, a water-dragon that spits out boiling liquid.
A group of dragon trappers have caught an infant Scauldron, who cunningly decide to use it as bait to lure out it's mother. It worked, though not without having with drastic consequences towards for both the trappers and the enraged mother Scauldron.

Before anyone says it, yes, I'm a sad sadistic person for making such a traumatizing scene.
I wanted to make dragon trappers (like those seen from Httyd 2) in action, and got carried away and threw in a baby dragon at the last minute...
Anyway, I'll add more pics of the dragon and the infant later.

Trapper Peak, Montana, was named by my great, great, great uncle, Granville Lee Shook in 1876, who was a surveyor for the Anaconda Mining Company.
• At the end of the 19th and 20th centuries, many trappers wintered here. This tradition was continued in Mushamna until the recent past, there the Norwegian Kjell Reidar Hovelsrud had built in the late 1980s, a very beautiful, solid hut. This later passed into the possession of Sysselmannen. For a few more years, he gave the hut to people who wanted to live as trappers in the Arctic for a year.
At Carolina Tiger Rescue.
It's been several years since I visited the big cat rescue nearby. As always, a thrill to see the animals in a sanctuary where they will be treated well and cared for as they live out the rest of their lives after having been neglected, and mistreated. The Carolina Tiger Rescue does wonderful work!
The Trapper (Evan Macmillan) as he appears in Dead by Daylight. This one was made quicker than the others and it shows a bit, but I really like the mask

Rare to get this close to the statues in the fountain (only in winter, as they boarded up les bassins de la fontaine). Walking around Place d'Armes in the early night, during the colder months, is always a treat. Raphaël-Lambert Closse seems so out of his element but still intent of getting his catch.
Réflection d'un homme en bronze : "J'espère qu'il ne rateront pas la Place d'Armes comme ils ont raté la Place Jacques Cartier...!" il se dit en fixant les architectes paysagers au loin.

I got inspiration for this minifigure from the movie The Revenant and hunters who used traps to hunt furry animals.

Early morning around 4am. Just me and the mosquitoes, despite my bottle of OFF spray. They persisted.
