Went to visit my Common Loon pair this morning to rekindle our friendship. The moment we locked eyes I knew they recognized me from the previous years. The Loon either likes you or it doesn't, It's that simple and very transparent. They were quite calm and relaxed with me. I usually place my kayak in their territory and wait. Within minutes they pop up like Jack-in-the-box. I wished them a successful job raising their young this year and was on my way. This time they came up real close to my kayak for their portrait. I wonder if people were more transparent would we like it as much. Probably not, I notice people rarely want to hear the truth they much rather be pacified with little white lies....or half truths. I bite my tongue a lot. So much so the Natives would probably call me "Sore tongue". lol The "Truth Seeker" has his work cut out for him that's for sure.

I’m experimenting with a (much!) shorter hairstyle … almost a pixie cut, and am not sure that it works. But half the fun is trying things out, even if we don’t stick with them! And full disclosure (thus the “transparency”), I’ve brightened some of my features here (cheeks, lips, lashes). But no AI or FaceApp ever … it’s all me. I personally don’t quite understand how AI or FaceApp serve to present us in our truest light, but it’s not for me to judge. I’d welcome your opinions on this pixie! 💕🌹🙏

One species in the garden is doing particularly well at present with all the rain that's been falling. The molluscs are certainly thriving and loving the new watery conditions after our seven year long drought. Plant life is loving the rain too and the broccoli has grown up like trees, much to the snails' delight. You can almost see what this one had for supper last night with the morning sun shining through its semi-transparent body and shell.
