In conjunction with the launching of the highly anticipated movie of the year “Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen”, an exhibition was held at one of my local shopping malls & it attracted a large crowd of people gathering & taking photos of the popular toy figures that were on display.
I guess it didn’t take you long to figure out I was joining the crowd or I wouldn’t have this photo uploaded on Flickr by now. It was a great family event you could notice how happy & giddy the little kids were. Being an adult, it did not deprive me of having my own fun though...mind you, I had a ball taking photos thru my viewfinder that day.

I knew this would be too tempting a target, luckily I grabbed the before shots just the other day! I actually think it looks better now, gives it more of an Anime feel.
After a restless but exciting night in the desert I decided to leave my sleeping bag and took a little walk just outside camp.
As it was 6am most people were still sleeping. I walked approximately half a mile to watch the sun hit one of Wadi's unusual rocks and start to change colour. The colours of the mountain changed from a misty fog to a gorgeous golden glow. It was quite tough going walking through Wadi's sand but well worth the effort.
Wadi Rum is a beautiful stretch of Sand and Rock Desert.
Known as Valley of the Moon, Wadi Rum is located in South Jordan and is the country's largest Wadi (Desert). The area is most famous for it's connection with British Officer T.E. Lawrence.
Lawrence of Arabia and Prince Faisal assembled the Arab Tribes for the attack on Aqaba in the First World War. In 1962 Director David Lean filmed many scenes for the film "Lawrence of Arabia". The area has also been used as a backdrop for other films including "Red Planet" in the year 2000 (Wadi was used for the surface of Planet Mars, "Passion in the Desert" in 1988 and most recent, Transformers : Revenge of the Fallen (scenes representing Egypt were actually filmed on Wadi Rum).

Ad-Deir Monastery of Petra was featured in the story of the Blockbuster Movie Transformers Revenge of the Fallen.
The Ancient City of Petra was carved into the Sandstone Rock by Nomadic Nabataean Arabs in the 6th Century BCE.
The City was completely abandoned after an earthquake in 363 CE. In 1812 this magnificant city was "rediscovered" by Swiss Explorer Johann Ludwig Burckhardt. Petra's discovery was credited to Burckhardt and it was him who brought it's splendid ruins to the West's attention.

Known for its grand architecture and strict discipline, this was the world’s first true “penitentiary,” a prison designed to inspire penitence, or true regret, in the hearts of convicts.
Its vaulted, sky-lit cells once held many of America’s most notorious criminals, including bank robber “Slick Willie” Sutton and Al Capone.

I was scouting through my hard drive for pix of my Transformers collection through out the years and I really don't have many. I went back to 2002 for this one. I've said it before and I'll say it again... the ladies love themselves some Transformers! The Christie Brinkley lookalike featured in this pic is my gal pal from Ohio, Denise.
