This shot made it to Explore!!! :D

I think I can start posting these now without "getting in trouble". The movie comes out June 29th!

Filming of Transformers 3 at Kennedy Space Center. The autobots leaving the CCC/VAB and (possibly) heading out to the Pad.

It would have been nice to have a wide angle lens... or if I had thought to take a few extra shots of the VAB before I moved from my spot. I tried to work in other shots I had taken of the VAB (even ones from just minutes before this one), but I'm sick of messing with it to try and get the perspective right so that they match this one. Oh well, at least I got the meatball in there. Maybe one day I'll try and work a little more on this shot.

I have a lot more pictures from filming. I'm going to be posting throughout the week.

Filming for Transformers: Dark of the Moon at Kennedy Space Center. This shot is of the autobots leaving the CCC (Complex Control Center) / VAB (Vehicle Assembly Building). It'll be fun to see where these end up in the movie.

Bumblebee is the "little brother" of the heroic or protagonistic Autobot faction and a mascot, constantly striving to prove himself in the eyes of the other robots - especially his leader, Optimus Prime. This often causes him to take risks that put him in danger. Although a bit of a wise-cracker, he is a capable and reliable messenger and spy. He was later reconstructed into a stronger, more mature form as Goldbug.

Bumblebee retains some elements from his Generation 1 design, such as the iconic horn-like pieces in his head, which are articulated in the films. The cautious but brave Bumblebee was given a different alternate mode from his original G1 incarnation, instead of a Volkswagen Beetle, he transforms into a Chevrolet Camaro. In the shot I, have tried to recreate a scene of the Dark of the Moon movie, where Bee looks at the sky as the Decepticons enter the Earth.

Well, maybe folly too strong a word. But he’s owned the Old Chicago Main Post Office on Van Buren for five years, and it can’t be cheap to maintain, pay taxes on, etc.

Latest news is that Sterling Bay has withdrawn from the development.

As seen from Costa @ Next in the Bullring Birmingham.

The next Transformers live action movie to come out will be Transformers: The Last Knight (2017) directed (like the first four) by Michael Bay.

Just got this from Evike.com... SO BEAUTIFUL. It basically fulfills all my urban/super modern combat dreams. It was a little on the expensive side, but I have almost everything else the loadout required already. It's super light, versatile, and stylish as hell. I ordered the fast-mags and they should be coming any day now, then the loadout will be essentially complete. However, since it's such universal body armor, don't be surprised to see this with a cammo paint job or in different load-outs in the near future.

Here's a picture of the vest with the fast-mags. combatgearing.com/images/Products/VEST-7321A_3.jpg

NOTE: I'm not directly recreating the TF3 loadout, just the vest.

Transformers 3 filming at Kennedy Space Center.

I couldn't stomach acting like the paparazzi and taking pictures of Shia while he was just walking around and getting ready for shooting. So, I don't have any close ups of him or anything like that. I snapped this one shot though because I really liked how it looked. It kind of could have been anyone standing there and I would have liked it. Of course, him being a main (human) character of the movie does make it that much more fun.

The vehicle in the background is a crawler. It moves the MLPs (Mobile Launch Platform) and the the Shuttle (the shuttle sits on top of the MLP). When moving the crawler they wet down the tracks, which is why you see water spraying behind Shia LeBeouf and company.

I saw the scene being shot, the crawler was moving and... stuff was happening... I could elaborate on what I saw being filmed, but it didn't make much sense on it's own so instead of writing something vague and weird, I'll refrain from typing it out. I guess we'll just have to wait and see the movie to know what was actually going on.

I did take some pictures of the shot being filmed, so at least one of those will probably be coming in the next few days too.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon while filming at Kennedy Space Center. They had the cars out on display for all of us space workers to come out and look at and take pictures. It was a nice surprise because before that we were told that we really weren't supposed to be taking pictures. They eventually just said not to share the pictures publicly, at least not until the movie comes out. From what I saw, the movie people were all pretty good to the space workers.

That's Discovery out on the Pad, STS-133.

(On a different note, I'm not sure if I can handle keeping that title for the picture...)

This one is sort of a teaser since the cars are so far away. Again, there are still more pictures to come so you'll see the cars soon! I like the juxtaposition though and it's a nice shot of the VAB and a good tie in shot for the next one coming up.

Michael Bay set up a stereoscopic 3D camera that moves along a rail, and goes underneath two flipped cars... It was used to follow soldiers running, as it tracked along with them, and ended up at a 3rd overturned vehicle, where it filmed close-up on Shia LaBeouf and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (who were hiding inside the flipped truck).

* * * This is a Photoshop composite I made... There's no way I could have gotten that close to him! This event did take place, however, which I know from friends that worked across the street from where this was filmed and they saw it. So far I have been unable to find any images of Shia (or his stunt double) as he rides a bluescreen "head". When I saw that "head", it was parked just off set, on top of a scissor lift. If you have any shots or video, please let me know!

"Is that all you got?! Need me to call Dr. Grey to put a band-aid on your boo-boo?"

Finally we get to see what they did with the footage of the stunt double swinging on a cable... he's being swung around by a Decepticon! You can tell it's the same shot by some of the debris below him... note the bumpers and the cardboard on the ground. Shia's stunt double is Colin Follenweider.

Drama!
