The accompanying upload to the shot of the last Irwell Line-branded Volvo / Wright saloon with Rosso sees the same vehicle on the same stretch of road as the 481 Blackburn - Bury service, but in its original guise as Lancashire United 1822, placed in service by Transdev Blazefield following its acquisition of the former Blackburn Transport operation in 2007. This was amongst a number of the type disposed of early and which found their way to Rossendale Transport before that operation was also acquired by Transdev and the vehicle brought back under their ownership. It was pictured on Broadway, Haslingden whilst operating (unusually) on the X41 before its Red Express relaunch some years later.

Opp Charge equipment being installed at Harrogate Bus Station for Transdev's new electric Volvo vehicles expected later this year.
The Optare Versa's arrivied in Yorkshire from Blackburn in March and April 2009, for use on a new service. The 844 Leeds to York Heworth route commenced on May 11th 2009, using Versa's 271-276. Repainted from the 'Spot-on' livery into the new look Coastliner livery the six buses are operated from York depot. The York depot was part of the Veolia operation acquired by Transdev in 2008. With newer former Lancashire United Volvo B7RLEs being transferred across to York thr Versa's could be on thier final journeys on the 844. Today 271 was seen entering Vicar Lane after leaving the A64 slip road.

The Harrogate & District branding is slowly being phased out and replaced by this striking new livery and 'Harrogate Connect' brand. The first three services converted thus far are the 2 group of services to Bilton, New Park and Dene Park, the 3 to Jennyfield and the 6 to Pannal Ash and Beckwith Knowle. For these services Transdev have invested in a fleet of new Optare Versa V1100's with seating for 38 of which 279 YJ12MZP is an example.
