When I see this kind of places, my dream is, one day, to live there, a fireplace, a good single malt, a cigar and a lot of snow.. What else? The winter is coming, but until now is autumn, and we are delighted by its colors!

Per questo motivo fu grande il disappunto, condiviso da una coppia di compagni di viaggio, nell'apprendere che i due giorni a Guilin non contemplavano questa possibilità....
Armati di santa pazienza e un pò di incoscienza ci siamo organizzati da soli ...
un' auto degna di immediato sequestro per le sue condizioni da quarto, quinto e sesto mondo, strade sgarruppate, autisti con una "profondissima" conoscenza dell'inglese (hai presente "noio vulevam savuar ?" ) non ci hanno fatto perdere voglia ed entusiasmo ...
quel pomeriggio però è stato indimenticabile ...
un'atmosfera unica permeava quel luogo tranquillo e ricco del fascino che solo la natura sa rendere ...
peccato per l'unica piccola nota stonata: il rifiuto dei pescatori di accendere le loro lampare ...
a loro dire (oddio, è questo quello che abbiamo capito) le guardie li avrebbero multati se si fossero accorte della loro presenza sul fiume ...
per questo motivo lo scatto si intitola "Smorz e laitz", in onore del pezzo cantato da Renzo Arbore ...
infatti, dopo il tramonto, anche noi abbiamo esclamato :
" nun se vide,
manco o ...zz " ...

Finesettimana a Milano in quanto mio marito ha partecipato alla maratona. La cittá con il cielo azzurro azzurro e una tranquillitá inaspettata, mi ha affascinato e sorpreso positivamente.
Se ieri questa metropoli si é mostrata immersa in una giornata meravigliosa che l'ha illuminata, stamattina una spruzzatina di neve sui tetti e una pioggerellina sottile l'hanno resa comunque meravigliosamente malinconica...

La stazione é una meraviglia. L'avevo vista diverse volte e anche questa l'ho trovata sempre bellissima.

Partie intégrale du patrimoine industriel québécois, symbole de la Révolution tranquille. On peut débattre longtemps du bon ou du moins bon, l'ouvrage demeure une réalisation importante particulièrement aujourd'hui dans une contexte d'énergie renouvelable. Côté photo, les points de vue constituent un défi compte tenu de l'ampleur de l'ouvrage... et probablement la seule manière d'appréhender l'ensemble de l'aménagement demeure la photo aérienne. Pour ma part, avec des moyens limités, voici ma propre perspective.

iconic location in Québec, wheter considered as an architectural feast or a brutal piece of concrete, the Daniel-Johnson dam remains an essential component of Québec renewable energy production. The challenge from a photographic perspective remains trying to capture the magnitude of the site and give it its best expression.

Something magical about the beach at sunrise, especially if you are the sole person there.
This capture however was taken shortly after sunrise, when the morning joggers, dog walkers, togs and early risers out for a stroll had all disappeared from view. Bamburgh is a beautiful location, one I love to visit.

A rather foggy scene in Teignmouth harbour.. PS please note.. it was like this all day.. not just morning fog.. this was taken a little after 13:30hrs..

Sunset photography from Ayrshire, Scotland.
I had already composed and planned my shot to make use of the tidal pool on Barassie Beach. I just had to wait a short while for the paddleboarder to make their way across the frame. I'm so lucky to live just a mile from this scene and to be able to find my own tranquillity as the waves lap onto the shore. Enjoy!
