I would like to tell a story of how very difficult it was to get to this place considering it is gorgeous, but actually it is quite straightforward. Wedge Pond is in the Kananaskis area of Alberta which is filled with wonderful sights.
One wants to arrive before sunrise and know where the sun will rise in the sky prior to arriving. That way the position chosen to set up will likely render the best result. Some call that previsualisation. I just say that I have been there before.
The toughest part of the trip is simply getting up long before sunrise. Then, getting on the road in the dark with breakfast in hand. Knowing the potential outcome and not having been there for four long years, filled the toughest part with anticipation and all part of the adventure. What I am really saying is that it is such an easy choice.
Passing this little lake up in the valley Tisleidalen in Valdres often invites for a short stop for a photo of the idyllic lake where this old boat have done its last trip for fishing wild trout.

When I saw these people today, I was thinking English picture of boating happiness.
Just outside the tranquiity zone, there were a few Jetskis buzzing around, See below.
Summer arrived with a bang this week, and we are getting temperatures of jusr over 30C.
Early morning tranquiity. This beach has been spoiled following the rebuilding, upgrading and re-badging of the hotel (now the Ikos Dassia) with areas fenced off for residents only and boardwalks between the rows of sunbeds.

The water in the back is a tributary to Schoharie Creek N.Y. It is still swollen a few days after the Hurricane flood in 2011.
El macho se amodorra a media maƱana sobre una piedra elevada que le permite ver una amplia zona a su alrededor, a poca distancia de las cuatro hembras a las que lleva siguiendo toda la maƱana. Llega a quedarse dormido al calorcito de los rayos solares, quiĆ©n sabe si soƱando con una harĆ©n mĆ”s numeroso. La paz reina en los alrededores, las hembras aĆŗn no estĆ”n receptivas, habrĆ” que seguir teniendo paciencia, no hay otros grandes machos cerca, se siente fuerte y seguro, la barriga la tiene llena de festucas y otras plantas y el pesao' ese de todos los aƱos con cĆ”mara y trĆpode se mantiene tranqui a una prudencial distancia, ... la vida es bella.
Parece estarse riendo mientras se solaza de frente al sol. Este bostezo nos permite ver la ausencia de denticiĆ³n en el maxilar superior, siendo sustituida por una especie de almohadilla dura conocido como "rodete dentario" que podĆ©is apreciar fĆ”cilmente en la imagen de mi archivo que os muestro debajo. En ella se tiene una visiĆ³n mĆ”s detallada para comprender cĆ³mo utilizan la boca las cabras monteses (Capra pyrenaica victoriae) para alimentarse.
