evening speed to organize the tracks

A little piece off the traintracks running from Trondheim to Bodø,

The picture is taken not far away from Trofors in Nordland (Norway)

I see this frequently anymore, unused train cars parked on train tracks that aren't used anymore either. The photo was taken just after sunrise between Mitchellville and Altoona, Iowa.

Yes, Aster-oid....still picking the rocks out of my knees! :)

We crisscrossed this railroad track several times and at one point we saw where the bank was held in place by railroad ties in horizontal position and I couldn't help but wonder what happened when those railroad ties disintegrated....

I will be so much more excited about my photos when the green leaves come back! LOL Tan and grey can get old after awhile I think!

I HATE fences!!!!!!!!!

No problem crossing the old abandoned spur line but just before this Mom and Pop led the little ones across 2 tracks on the very busy line running between Toronto and Montreal. A minute or so after this shot was taken a train with over a hundred box cars came roaring down the tracks.

A few weeks ago a thick fog covered the entire area presenting the perfect photo opportunity for me and my camera.

Great place for gravel biking - nice combo of on- and off-road - but a lot of the best stuff is tucked away. Took a fair bit of effort to get here - finding the hole in the fence, hoisting the bike over a barrier and under concertina wire, then down an embankment of broken concrete. But wow, these tracks!

13.04.2024 Köln Südbrücke

Machen wie doch weiter mit den TEE Rheingold Farben. Gestern fanden wieder die Schupperfahrten der AKE Rund um den Kölner Dom statt. Zur Freude der Fotografen wurde 101 001 werbewirksam am Hbf geparkt und E03 001 bekam mal wieder Auslauf. Die beiden Fahrten wurden jeweils an der Kölner Südbrücke abgepasst. Desweitern waren auch noch 6x 798 der AKE als Sonderzug unterwegs.
