Just how hot is this single load? (2500 degrees would be the answer!) Back when the NS assigned the "pups" to the hot metal train, with one of each end to avoid the run around move at Riverdale, the train is seen on the IHB just south of Grasselli Tower.

CSX train Q401 was rolling along Conrail's former PRR electrified main towards Potomac Yard in 1993. Crossing the Potomac River in that cesspool known as Washington, DC, the CSX SD50/C30-7 duo would soon pause at the shell of Potomac Yard to add a former RF&P GP40 to the lead for cab signal purposes and then continue southward to Richmond.
Somewhere along the way, the 8563 lost its K5LA for a primered RS3L. Something tells me that is no longer the case.

CN 397 Departs Mac Yard at Snider West with the red and white dash 9 BCOL trailing. This would be the first time me seeing this unit, and it would mark me seeing all of the BCOL units on the CN roster.
I have been meeing to stop and take some pictures in this train yard for weeks and today I hade the chance but the light was not so good so I manipulated the image to add a little more drama but not sure if I suceeded, what do you think?
It was the first time I've travelled on a Bombardier Dosto car in Poland and I still think it's one of the best trains to travel on. The Warsaw ones have less electronic information equipment, but they are used rather as S than RE so that's fine.

Bankers on the rear of a BNSF stack train, the lead locomotives on this train are half way around Kingman Canyon, heading into the Town of Kingman CA.
