Cline Lake near the Rocky Mountains of Alberta has been one of our favorite trail riding spots for years. This fall (2008) we were not disappointed when we rode over the hill and saw the lake. In large view, you can see the rippling of the water surface caused by small fish feeding.
Thank you, my friends, for all your comments and awards. They are very much appreciated.

Today, we decided to go on a little ride in the mountain. We discover so many beautiful paths and this one especially, in the forest.
This Fjord girl is one of the best trail horse we got at the Ranch, always happy to bring her out.

Horses have been my life since day 1, and I’ve always said, the best way to experience life is to see it between a horses ears. They are the most special thing to me. Here, i was out on a trail ride in Rocky Mtn. National Park. This guy’s name was Sarge (he was allegedly hard to handle but i have a habit of bonding with the trouble makers.. he was a very sweet man) 2022 | taken with an iPhone 11 camera
We are cloud chasers,
Eagle trackers, stream stomping,
Forest folk.
We are wind talkers,
Meadow dancers, cliff gazers,
Campfire coffee drinking sunrise greeters.
We love a saddle squeek,
A nicker neigh, a mane toss.
A saucy tail flag and a snort.
Ears perked forward, moving out,
Clip of hoof clops in your head.
Feel the rein, foot in stirrup
Oh the sway sway of a slow lope.
TRUST, FREEDOM. JOY.
So many moments, so many miles,
so many trails, so many smiles.
Just you, and some very special friends.
Happy Trails!
I don't usually get to many pictures of me on my horse, since I am the one behind the camera. I barrowed this one from my mom who took this picture! I was chosen to lead the group in prayer and lead the way on the path. Why, I don't know, I had never been to this place before. But, I got us back to camp in one piece and never took a wrong turn. :))
If I were a braver man I would've taken the TW200 into the woods behind the highway. Maybe I'll give it a shot in the spring :)
This is a 1989 Yamaha TW200 with numerous cosmetic mods including a round LED headlight, wire tuck "hollow mod" and a minor exhaust upgrade with a stainless steed TTR225 header and DG exhaust.

This is a picture Debbie snapped of some guests and myself out on a trail-ride a few years ago. Hope this photo sets the stage for my most recent short story just posted at my writing board.
In this picture I am riding my ol rope horse Scooter. We had a special bond. In fact you might call it a love hate relationship. But thats a whole nother story and not what this most recent story is about. The link below will take you to a short story about the second horse pictured in the lineup just above. That horse's name was Victor and his story revolves around the magic that happens sometimes between a horse and rider.
