In the Summer of 2024, June 23, 2024 Amtrak P099-23 had Amtrak 190 Phase 5 P42 Locomotive Taking the lead but had developed some Mechanical issues when on the trip. They came to a stop in Woodbridge and picked up Amtrak B32-8WH 515 to continue the train to Newport News Virginia. Now with the RF&P Cab Signal banned no longer required as its now PTC. Amtrak P174-24 departed from Newport News Northbound around 6:11am running 32 Minutes Late. I headed with a friend to Woodbridge VRE Station waiting for the train to come and we also got two other trains going through the RF&P Subdivision in Northern Virginia.
After Catching CSX M217-03 and other trains on the Cap and Met Subdivisions. I set off to Long Bridge Park RO to get some trains. I noticed a better point of view at long bridge and with the blossoms blooming, it was a great photo opportunity.
Amtrak P091-03 Silver Star rolls through Long Bridge Park in Crystal City VA clearing RO with Amtrak 189 and 310 on the point.
