Although preserved and displayed in a park, TP&W bay window caboose number 501 is literally unknown by most local railfans. Today, it is on display in Railside Park in Hopedale, IL. Why they chose to display it so far from the TP&W is beyond me.
Rear of the TP/8O keys showing the springs and part of the key catches (simple plastic clips that can be depressed carefully to allow the removal of the keys from the frame).
The old sign still remains but the old bike shop is long gone, I got my first Raleigh bike from here a proper old style bike shop ran by two brothers. I can always remember them as they were always arguing with each other. Sadly they eventually passed away and the bike shop was no more.
I can still here the bell as you opened the door and entered the shop.
The underside of the TP/8O keyboard, showing some of the diode matrix and metal chassis, but also the underside of the key which contain the weights. The weights are obvious on the white keys, but on the black notes they are hidden in plastic pillars that descend from the key plastic.
The old station here has seen better days as the train from Hoosierlift arrives at Effner's yard limits.
The underside of the TP/8L keyboard, showing some of the diode matrix and metal chassis, but also the underside of the key which contain the weights.
The weights are quite well hidden on the white keys as the ends of the keys are exposed - Fatar has chosen to hide them inside a wedge that forms the inside of the diving board key shape, but on the black notes they are hidden in plastic pillars that descend from the key plastic. The plastic used on the black note pillars is slightly more substantial than on the TP/8O.
After a cold walk through the timber in the winter of 1997, I caught TP&W 2017 leading the eastbound #13814 (Galesburg to Peoria Local) across Kickapoo Creek, MilePost 44.25, on the BNSF Peoria Sub.

Continuing with my Experiments using High Contrast Films in my Very Old Dark Brown RODINAL I tested some outdated Kodak TECHNICAL PAN 35mm then loaded a 11/1993 dated 120 into my MAMIYA C220 + 80mm f2.8 'Blue Dot Sekor' and developed in my RODINAL diluted 1+30 for 10 mins @ 20oC. The negatives were fantastically SHARP ! Also, the Contrast was well controlled. I rated film at 25 ASA but I could have used 40 ASA as some negs were a bit dense. I used a MONOPOD to steady camera as I was getting mainly 1/30th second. White Shell Close-up -- all the fine details are there. I used 1/2 second here
