Salty Sea Dog

After brekkie Caz took us on a walking tour of Yokohama harbour. We found some more tupperware and also had a look at this big ship, the Nippon Maru, which is now a museum. It was here we met Blue Dal, a lovely salty old Sea Dog who has somehow decided to join our merry band. We loved listening to all the tales from his seafaring days aboard the Nippon Maru! Land ahoy!

The toybox opens too... I've never seen a full sized one like this but I wager they're out there. The blue matches the more girlyfied Little Tykes line, but the blue and green toybox doesn't double as a bench like this one does. So Cute!!!

Mesmerised

Ox was mesmerised by my new LED Lenser light sabre – he especially liked the pink colour and sat there looking at it for ages.

Leo is rather partial to a bit of white chocolate. Today I found him munching happily on a bar.

Sunny Sunday

We went for a great 11 mile bike ride this morning. I showed Sunny all the sights locally. Here you can see him posing in front of Chelmsford Cathedral.

Pretty Uglies

Peaco, Babo’s Bird and Ox bugged me today to take their pictures for Ugly Monday. We found a nice piece of stripey pink paper for them to stand on. What a bunch of pretty uglies they are!

(stuck inside on a rainy day wondering what to photograph)

Mr Duck came along to BarCamp Bournemouth5 with us over the weekend. He was fascinated to got to a talk about this tank which apparently controls itself with a Raspberry Pi! He’s not so good with self-control and can’t resist a raspberry pie, so went to take a closer look…

This is the coffin I have kept him in. I am going to attempt a restoration. I am even going to attempt to make him walk again. I have alot of work ahead of me.

I'm doing framed panels on the front and sides and painting the insides of those panels with chalkboard paint so the kids can go nuts drawing on the toybox.

Cool Customers

Yellow Ken, Mr Duck and Superdeux were feeling rather warm today - it was a scortchingly hot day. Mr Duck went and retrieved some ice from the fridge to help them cool off - but Ken isn't convinced all of this ice is quite normal... As you may have guessed, this week's theme is Ice.

Patriotic

Dai and Leo are pleased to have Mr Duck staying with them for the weekend. And since the weather forecast turned out a lot better than predicted, they came with us to see the Olympic Torch Relay in Herongate this evening. They were very happy and waved their big Union Jack enthusiastically as the torch bearer ran by with the flame.

FGR: ToyBox Anarchy

I won this stuffed penguin at Universal Studios; I think in those "shoot the water in a clown's mouth" type of games. I didn't realize how much bigger he is than Jonas. I envisioned a stare-down showdown but the first thing Jonas wanted to do with the toy was to just lie down with it and cuddle.

Guess the toy won this battle.

Cable Car Fun

This evening we went on an exciting trip with Caz on a big cable car across the River Thames! Me and Leo enjoyed the view very much, and we wanted to ride on it all evening! But Caz wanted to look at some of the other things too, so we took a stroll around the docks. Here you can see us sitting on one of the big old cranes as the sun sets in the background. Can you spot the cable car behind us?
