Mechanical 'unstable' equilibrium,

a deep sigh... and there they go again!

Mechanisch 'labiel' evenwicht,

een diepe zucht...en daar gaan ze weer!

2017 Photochallenge, week 4: Rule of Thirds/Toys and Games

While the blocks are centered, I felt the two towers and the base followed the rule of thirds. Is this a correct application of the rule of thirds?

Building blocks kept at our home to entertain grandchildren, when they visit.

Just a visual marker for myself. Not quite happy with the outcome because of that light spot between the numbers, but I had to improvise with the lighting and it will have to do.

I'm looking forward to a colourful new year full of improvising, make do and kid stuff.

You ever wonder what goes on inside something made out of LEGO bricks? ...well, probably not, because I think most of us understand how they work. That said, thanks to some transparent LEGO bricks I had in the small set I just got, I was able to highlight the intricate detail of a set of bricks locking together. While the concept is fairly simple, I think it’s really interesting to actually see.

used to be made in Seneca Falls, New York.

In 1872 Henry Westcott, together with his two sons, started manufacturing in Seneca Falls, New York ... During the mid-1990s the company left Seneca Falls for North Carolina.

When you think about LEGO, what is it you think of? The shape of the standard six-pin brick? Its sharp edges? The single color that makes it up from end to end? The LEGO logo embossed in every single pin? Or are you only thinking of what you’re going to build with them?

However it could look like the previous version, there are many changes on this model. Main change is not visible - brand new main chassis. Advantage of this new frame is that the bodywork can be easily separated from the wheels and they can be used for an other car. Some small improvements are on the bodywork too, like different mudguards or side-parts, so - I hope - it looks more realistic and smooth, and mainly everything fit together better than before.
