La tour Eiffel lors de la COP21

j'ai eu la chance d'avoir le phare mobile éclairé l'esplanade du Trocadéro pour l'évènement

Elle a joué un rôle crucial durant la première Guerre Mondiale, notamment lors de la Bataille de la Marne en 1914. En effet, des signaux étaient émis du sommet de la Tour pour guider les troupes françaises au front.

It played a crucial role during the First World War, especially during the Battle of the Marne in 1914. In fact, the signals were emitted from the top of the tower to guide the French troops at the front.

Odegrała ona kluczową rolę w czasie pierwszej wojny światowej, zwłaszcza podczas bitwy nad Marną w roku 1914. Sygnały byly emitowane ze szczytu wieży, aby poprowadzić wojska francuskie przez front.

Paris4 depuis la Tour Saint-Jacques

I have been Paris last week and there is beautiful place.

This is Trocadero and I was sitting on the edge of the fountain thingy, drinking some water. The guy you see there approached me: "can you take a picture of me and my girlfriend?". Me: "Yeah sure". He hands me his phone. Me: "How do you want it?"

So his girlfriend is 5 meter back. He whispers, nervous as a MF-er, shaking: "I'm actually gonna propose the her. Can you record the entire thing?". Me: "Yeah sure, good luck!".

He: "is it on?". Me: "Yup". Takes out a box with a ring out of his backpack and goes down on his knee. She freaks, cries. The crowds applauses and cheers. She says 'yes'. They hug, they kiss.... Crowd go ballistic.

The rest of their life starts here. This made my trip all worth it. Same for him I guess. :) Lovely girl, lucky guy.
