Okay, so it wasn't supposed to be one, but it sure looked like one. Who knows. There were a lot of shirtless men in old Bible movies, weren't there?!
A Best Ranger competitor walks a beam 30 feet off the ground then crawls out and has to touch the Ranger Tab then drop 30 feet into Victory Pond.
Touchdown! Very gently, Captain Ryan puts the single wheel under Wingfoot One's control car on the ground. Shortly, he will literally taxi this 246 foot monster right up to the landing party. About half the people you see on the ground are crew and the other half are the passengers who are about to get on board.

I always enjoy the last light of the day. Sometimes you get that perfect sunset. Other times you need to turn around and see the beauty of where that light is being cast.
I reach out my hand, till my fingers touch the cold and wet. Wrinkles appear in the dark blue water. If I hold still, they'll fade away, till the water is calm again. Calm like me, standing in the middle.

The craggy peaks of California's High Sierras, when contrasted against a striking blue sky and some lenticular clouds, is my idea of truly natural beauty.

People from around the world have made their homes in the Elgin area. They brought beliefs and traditions from their countries of origin giving the Elgin community a rich diversity, which is now part of our cultural heritage.
The Elgin Public Museum's authentic and culturally-inclusive winter holiday exhibit featured displays and objects of traditional holiday significance from over 40 countries.
The Elgin Public Museum Education staff offered group programs for schools, Scouts, clubs and adult groups.
The exhibition is held at the Elgin Public Museum this year. It will be open to the public starting Sat Dec 1st, weekend only, and daily starting Dec 22nd through Dec 31st. The exhibit will be closed Dec. 25th. Hours during this time will be noon - 4:00 p.m., except Christmas Eve and New Years Eve, when the exhibition will be open from noon - 3:00 p.m. The Museum will be closed December 25th.
Not all of Pictured Rocks' cliffs are ablaze with technicolor bands. Be sure to keep an eye out for shots that are even more majestic.

Knowing Unknowing Knowing
I know
and you know that I know
but what or how you don't know
and what or how you know I don’t know
only we know that we know what we know.
One day we will tell one another
really know
maybe really be known.
And so
patiently we wait the time
which neither knows
the space where we might share
and grow.
This summer or next
or not till 100 years
I cannot tell
even if you might but don’t say.
But one day for sure.
Meantime night-time we share
dream what will come
unveiled.
Naked we’ll see
and then
lovingly
carefully
so carefully
cloth our sense
walk out
mantled in gentleness
not meek
not mild
not sleek
not wild
tall
in quiet pride
side by side by side.
