I'm going through my archives, a very slow process as my time now is very fragmented. I have been hiding the more colorful side of the Hawaii from you lately. Most of the colored versions were taken with my iPhone and edited on iPhone using Instagram. It was a fun experience to compose with only the iPhone camera for most of my trip photos, in contrast to the cumbersome and convoluted process of dSLR photography with multiple single focal-length lenses. The photo taking with iPhone was more spontaneous, less deliberate, although it certainly does suffer significant quality limitation as the result of lower resolution and inability to edit on a large screen.

It's really important to remember: if you are ever in a situation where you're trying to save multiple dogs - ALWAYS focus on the hardest dog first, and only then on the easier dog.

Capturing the easy one first may really scare the other dog, and then your chances of saving the pair are not good!

The days, now, are noticeably shorter and the light is shifting, as well. While they grow here pretty much all Summer, it's the best time of the year for Zinnias. These hardy and perpetually cheerful little beauties will provide the most vibrant colors in the gardens right up til the first Fall frosts.

Both In Peru and in Canada I am lucky I have found her with the same beauty.
