This week's theme for Mosaic Montage Monday was Torn Paper.
Remembering back to an art class in college, the professor wanted to teach us how to train our eyes to see Grayscale. So he asked us to simply tear out 10 pieces of paper from a newspaper and arrange them according to their intensity value, then glue them onto black construction paper.
Nowadays, all my newspapers have color pictures, so I used an old magazine that was already cut up. Now, I always have a Grayscale reference! If you try it, don't forget to play with the scraps, too! HMMM!
coding...technique like writing a message on a piece of paper which is partially soiled with random ink strokes or spots. By erasing and adding ink in the proper places, the writer can convey just as much information as if the paper were clean, even though the reader does not know where the dirt was. In this analogy, the paper is the channel, the dirt is interference, the writer is the transmitter, and the reader is the receiver.
(You just can't make this junk science up...)

To keep the leaves colourful you can dry them further on paper. For Mosaic Montage Monday theme of Torn Paper. A montage of a couple of TextureLabs paper and coloured textures plus my own image of the drying autumnal leaf. After all paper is made from plants! HMMM

The artwork behind the doll(which I got at a sale!) was done by my nephew's girlfriend- a gift for me! It is done with torn paper, like I love doing, and a different application of a sealer! It is SO Mardi Gras and is now displayed at our cottage in New Orleans! I love this SO much!
Today marked 18 years of marriage for Ken & I- it was a hard one since we are dealing with his health problems along with those of my Dad and my Mom. Not exactly a celebration- think pretzels and champagne. :) BUT- TOGETHER! and isn't that what love is about?!
Made this for Ken the other afternoon while he was napping; I had to HURRY!

Well the 'soon to be' past! As Apple dump the headphone jack from the iPhone 7 it seems a good time to look out my small store of Apple earbuds, and recall those heady days when every music iPod came with a free set of stylish (and quite comfortable) white earbuds.
