ENIGMA APPAREL features their New Release "MINERVA"
Altered Toyota logo I painted on my artcar, PriusTorik. Yes, it's more or less the Flying Spaghetti Monster, which seems apropos for an artcar with evolution as one of its themes. I did antennae, then painted some legs, till I realized with horror that my generic little alien too closely resembled the Tivo logo and cleaned off the legs before they dried. Thanks to Paula Wirth for the FSM suggestion, when she saw my car at the SFlickr meet.
Lébény, Romanesque St Jacob church built in 1200s-1300 in the Arpadian age.
The Benedictine Abbey of Lébény was officially founded in 1208, and it is believed that the church was completed within a short time. Benedictine life went on with varied intensity during the Middle Ages, until the church was burned by Turkish troops in 1529, as they were marching towards the siege of Vienna. The vault of the nave was not even repaired until the Jesuits took over the church in 1631. Those knowing the history of the region will not be surprised to read that the Turkish army burned the church again in 1683, en route to another failed siege of Vienna. The building was again fixed up by the Jesuits, and finally underwent major renovation during the 1870s.
Despite all these events, the church of Lébény can be regarded as one of the most intact Romanesque churches of Hungary. The fact that the church is still standing after 800 years is also due to those Italian stonemasons, who were sent there to dismantle the church at the time when the Ottoman Turks were advancing towards Győr. The stones of the monastery would have been needed to to repair the fortifications of Győr - but the masons did not carry out the job, saying the Lébény was the most beautiful church they have ever seen.

Szent Jakab templom, Lébény
A román stílusú templomot 1199-1212 között építették, és máig őrzi XIII. század elején nyert formáját. Díszeinek, berendezéseinek többsége viszont a XIX. századi helyreállítás eredménye.
A templom háromhajós, bazilikális elrendezésű.
The tomb is surrounded by a forest of 14,000 native to the Carpathian Basin, which breaks in one place - west of the Christian cross. In the southwestern part of the garden, where like a wedge breaks inwards, towards the center of the circle are wedges planted from black pines, and head trees, which represent the Turkish attack.
In the direction of the attack, at the end of the wedge, the tomb is covered with flowers.
A sírkertet a Kárpát-medencében őshonos 14 000 darabból álló erdő veszi körül, ami egyetlen helyen - a keresztény kereszttől nyugatra - törik meg. A kert délnyugati részén, ahol mint egy ék tör befelé, a kör közepe felé a feketefenyőkből ültetett ék, és a fejfák, ami a török támadást jelképezik.
A támadás irányában az ék végén a virágokkal borított sírhely található.

Diorama of Hummer sinking into a tar pit. Arnold is at the wheel. This is in the front dash of my artcar, PriusTorik.
