Lakeside is always a good choice for an appealing figure to ground. The shots are normally easy to make, like in this picture, and look also nice as silhouettes. Make sure there are some clouds to bring in structure.
Incidentally, talking about lakes, did you know that in Zug, where I live, we are said to have to most beautiful sunsets in Switzerland?

As a street photographer, you should embrace bad weather. People behave and react differently under rainy, windy or snowy conditions. And the sky is textured much more interestingly. Did this picture by using a classical technique: Compose a nice background and wait for an interesting subject to enter the scene.

Used sequential shooting mode to catch her in juxtaposition. It's a very useful technique in all moving subject situations. I find it helpful for portrait shots too because It gives you a broad range of facial expression to choose from. Very often the first shot is not the best, isn't it?
