my first leather mask! I am so addicted...........

I was blessed with all the tools i needed for this new addiction from my neighbor who was cleaning out his storage unit, So after a month at staring at all the boxes I just dove in.

Its not perfect and I still have to figure out the dyeing process and lots of other techniques and a zillion of other factors but its a new adventure and really fun!

The component parts had been standing around for a long time. I finally saw the possibility of putting them together and having a more functional way to hold my bikes when minor work is needed. The upright post is a piece of 8" x 10" beam. Not an everyday find, but I did come across it as a discard a few years ago. The hanger arms are from a bike carrier for car installation. Also a curbside find.

Here is a tool you will find useful. We have been using it a lot. No longer need to drain the transmission oil and get into the primary side to lock the Crank up. As long as the timing chain is still connected you can lock the crank from the timing side. Also, you can use this tool to remove the timing sprockets and remove the Cam Shaft nut. A very useful tool that will get some good use if you maintenance your own bike. Gives you a free hand too. No need to fumble with another wrench and then have it slip off and dent the casing mating face.... which some know can result in an oil leak if you have worked on old bikes before without the proper tools.

This is my finest plane and it works as no other, the plane is bought at the fleamarket at queens day in Amsterdam for 3 years ago.

Not your typical tool cart for a bike build. Soldering gun, shrink wrap tubing and of course a dremel.

This type of knurling tool puts a heavy strain on the lathe both the spindle bearings and the saddle. The clamp type of knurling tool is much better.

I like to think of them as "spinning doom slayers" but I think these are just tools for the lathes or milling machines. Industrial looking stuff like this is great though. I need to take more of these.
