Ok, so I did tear some holes in my gloves, rather them than my skin. Yes, I know they were to be only used in water but they have really helped in the past when I had to climb OUT of a wet pool.
The Learning Studio hosted a workshop organized by Michael Swaine and Amy Franceschini, in which 12 local artists were invited to make tools that expand our natural perceptual limitations.
I got this at the Tool show when they came to Ames on the Lateralus tour. I think at that point I was convinced I had too many black shirts (insane talk, I know) so I bought a white one instead. I went with Chris and it was a phenomenal show! (09/06/2002)
I'm using it every day. I do lots of things on the computer, but still need to write stuff down.

Anyone know what this tool might be called and where I can get one from in the UK?
It is cast iron and used to scrape hot logs / embers around on the floor of a clay pizza / bread oven.
For the tool freaks these are Diston 6pt (front) and 8pt (rear) saws.
Taken on one of those grey, uninspiring days in the back of our garage.

So. I recently started going to a dentist near my apartment. He told me that the took over the practice from the dentist who had been there previously - thus meaning - the office has been there a long time. So imagine my slight discomfort when these tools were the first thing I saw upon sitting down in the chair.
I think? He doesn't use these on anyone. All the tools for my visit came from a more modern package of sterilized tools.
These older looking tools seem to be a throwback from another time.
