Overland Expo team member Mark Ordway of Phoenix made this great version of the vintage leather tool bags used by Dakar racers in the 1980s (for his beautiful R100 G/S Dakar, of course). Mark says in addition to tools, it holds up to three wine-in-a-box cartons!

"Hunting Bow and Arrows"
"Depending on its size and the kind of point used, arrows are effective for killing animals as large as deer, bear, and bison, or as small as turkeys, raccoons and beaver.
This bow is carved from crabapple wood with a string made of hand-twisted cordage. the arrow on the left has a stone point and radial fletching the feathers point away from the arrow shaft. The arrow on the right has a point made of a Garfish scale and tangential fletching the feathers lie alongside the arrow shaft."

"Rabbits are common to Carolina Piedmont fields and woodlands. Although preyed upon by many animals for food, people hunt them for their meat and their fur which makes a soft, warm lining for clothing and shoes."

"Made from hollowed stalk of river cane, a blow gun is used for killing small game like squirrels, rabbits and birds. Really enjoying restoring this 100 year old bicycle tool pouch. Given it a good clean, fed the leather, then dismantled as the stitching was rotten. Now reassembly! Using a method I’ve seen Suzie Fletcher use on BBC’s The Repair Shop, using two needles and lacing the thread up. It’s working a treat!
Still need to source three new straps to fit it to the frame.
