this cake i did for my brother who turned 30. his carpentry and just LOVES chocolate cakes. so did a delicious choc cake with choc ganache filling and choc frosting. tools, handle, lock and hingers are all fondant.

I've had various manufactured tool boxes over the years and all have had pros and cons to their designs.
I wanted a tool box where I could see all the tools at at glance rather than having to rummage around finding what I want. This design also lets you see at a glance that the full set of tools is there rather than arriving at a job ( I do handyman type work) and finding a vital item is missing.
It is fairly light weight and had a drawer for basic nails/screws,drill bits,rawl plugs etc and there's room above the drawer but below the deck of the box for a tenon saw, mini plane and other items. .
Best lastig zo'n opdracht aangezien ik thuis geen schroevendraaier meer aan mag raken om iets open te schroeven. Vandaar deze foto van de gereedschapskist in ruste.
Wilde de hardheid van gereedschap benadrukken. Kist voor het raam gezet en met nog wat verdere bewerkingen aardig gelukt.
