Yum. I hate regular toolboxes, they make the men around here think that anything in them is fair game to use and move and then I can't find anything I need when I want it.
El Caminos have a hidden compartment under the bed behind the cab which is normally covered by the bed panels. A terrible waste of space. I asked Bill Miller of Costa Mesa (now he's in Arizona) to fix this space up so I could store a toolbox and the battery in there, and access the space easily. He started by fabricating a steel central support and a steel frame for the cover.
I actually already have a purple toolbox with tools. It's different though. Maybe I'll put one in my car.
Tin and 2% silver solder was used. Pieces of 1/32" diameter brass rod, cut with wire cutters are holding the parts in precise alignment.
Another interesting feature of a tractor at the HCEA National Convention & Old Equipment Exposition was this cool toolbox.

My husband bought a great big rolling tool box for the shop a couple of weeks ago. It is very pretty. I have stolen it for my kitchen because it is too wonderful for the nasty auto shop and needs to be where it can be appreciated.
