Each of us is like the moon; it has a dark side and a bright side.
But tonight he showed the best and bright side of her.

"Give me tonight, Then if you don't wanna stay, Girl I'll just forget you, You'll see I'm right
You won't get to go away, Love ain't gonna let you. Give me tonight."
Photo shot at the amazing Le Chateau Motel.
Kicking up some good colors tonight on a fork of the Little Susitna River, Alaska. Five minutes later it was crimson red.
The last rays of the day, beautiful shades of red as the sun disappears, a gorgeous backdrop against the silhouette of the mature oak tree.
I had a lot of fun with tonight's sunset. I've been learning how to image stack in order to get corner-to-corner sharpness. The clouds were performing tonight! Great lighting paired with an ND filter allowed for slightly longer exposures. I really liked how the split tree and broken branches provided balance to an orderly sky.

After being at work from 6:15 am until 7:15 pm ... by the time I got home and ate a quick dinner, when I looked outside around 8 the sky looked like it could potentially be colorful. I debated whether to head out in a rush down to the river (about a 15 minute ride) ... and decided I needed to get a break from the stress of work and enjoy a few minutes of the day.
Was not disappointed with the colors ... here is a 10 second capture made with the 64ND (6 Stop) filter.
Interesting how by this time of the year the sun is setting way up river as opposed to beyond the end of the pier like it does in winter. Limits the compositions.

Sorry
Is all that you can't say
Years gone by and still
Words don't come easily
Like sorry, like sorry
Forgive me
Is all that you can't say
Years gone by and still
Words don't come easily
Like forgive me, forgive me
But you can say baby
Baby, can I hold you tonight?
Maybe if I told you the right words
Ooh, at the right time you'd be mine
I love you
Is all that you can't say
Years gone by and still
Words don't come easily
Like I love you, I love you
But you can say baby
Baby, can I hold you tonight?
Maybe if I told you the right words
Ooh, at the right time you'd be mine
Baby, can I hold you tonight?
Maybe if I told you the right words
Ooh, at the right time you'd be mine
You'd be mine
You'd be mine
The beautiful full moon made it very difficult for me to drag myself into the house. I just wanted to stay outside and stare at it.
Have a terrific Tuesday :)

Tonight's sunset at Maplewood Park. Kari and I were playing dominoes on the living room floor when I noticed the sunset was shaping up nicely. I took off with only minutes to spare and was able to get in a few shots of the sunset.
It has been a month since my last sunset photo, too long.
Photo taken with my IPhone as I did not think I would take any photos the weather being so miserable!!!
I started shooting tonight's sunset when it was "really pretty" and it kept getting redder and redder and was SO amazing! I wish I had been somewhere with no wires in sight! View On Black Wow...Explored at #106 Nov.15
No definition tonight though I was tempted to add one to this shot. Perhaps I will do another "defined" version at a later date :-)
This is a Lancewood (NZ native) tree that grows in our garden, it has a long slender trunk and tuft of leaves at the top. It's probably about 3 -4 metres tall ( I am hopeless at estimating heights). The juvenile form is quite different from this, you would hardly tell it was the same plant.
I am going to be away for the next couple of days so I will wish you all a wonderful weekend now.
had a small gig (concert) in Herzogenaurach this evening; this is on the way back to my car.
how many people can you see??
Herzogenaurach is the place from where the Dassler brothers come, later known as Puma and Adidas.

Tonight's sunset from the inside of my car. I was standing outside the car taking my shots when all of a sudden it started to rain. I ducked into the front seat and noticed the raindrops on the window.
It was one of those evenings where I really didn’t have the time to sit and watch and take a thousand photos of the developing evening sunset, but wished that I did. Instead I got about 3 minutes.
There was almost a backbone dividing the sky with half a rib cage of waves to the left.
The clouds just above the silhouette looked so permanent in nature that my daughter actually asked, where’s that? But they were just thick clouds on the horizon. This rib cage of waves I suspect heralds a weather front, but my knowledge of clouds isn’t good enough to be confident enough to be certain.
Thanks for stopping, I could wax lyrical all night, but I’ve a job to get to in the morning, which requires some degree of rest at least tonight.
