Today is a red day at Color my World Daily and the theme at macro Mondays is beverage. What a perfect theme for me !
I think that after following my Photostream for a few days (or hours ??), you will discover my addiction to gin and tonic. I must admit this addiction is getting worst and worst. Frankly, I dont see how it will get better soon, but that is another subject which I will address at the end of the lockdown. Meanwhile, cheers everyone (yes, I know it is very early, Monday morning, but so what ?)!

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a black and white day at Color my world Daily and we celebrate Sliders Sunday.
My weekend was super busy but very cool !! It was almost back to pre-pandemic era normal ! We had lots of kids over (my sons’s friends), my parents came and we had a power shortage !! I know that putting two exclamations points after a « power shortage » makes it feel like something very positive but in the end it was ! We had a BBQ with candles and lots of gin and tonic. It is hot as hell in Montreal right now so spending a night without AC was truly difficult but luckily for us the electricity came back just in time.
Today is my running day so I feel like this egg: I’m set free to go ! Since it is very hot, I will run inside. So far I did 295,2km this month and I hope I will get me badge (I know it is very insignificant but I have a very addictive personality !!) and be able to get to 400km until the end of this month…
Once again, with the power being out for more than 3 hours, I didn’t had the time to answer your comments. I will catch up as soon as possible…

Hola my Flickr friends!!
Another Monday!! And since I’m working from home now, it doesn’t mean anything anymore lol Monday, Friday or Thursday what is the difference?
Today is a red day at Color my World Daily Group and we celebrate yellow at Macro Mondays…. So, it is a yellow and red Monday today!!
And since I’m drinking gin& tonic daily since the beginning of our lockdown (please don’t judge me!!) I decided to take a picture of a lemon and a red straw in my glass! So, cheers people!!
Unfortunately (for me ...) I have another video meeting with my coworkers … I truly hope no one will notice how hungover I am lol

I have several more days to go before I have my post op appointment, which happens to be on the day Torvi turns 9 months old. Out of all the kitties, she has snuggled with me the most during my recovery. Kitty love is indeed one of the best tonics!

This long drink is the perfect refreshment for warm summer days:
200 ml / 8% ABV
Ingredients: Gin (4 cl), Schweppes Indian Tonic Water (16 cl), lemon zest (1 piece), ice cubes
Preparation:
Pour gin into a highball glass with ice cubes and top with Schweppes Indian Tonic Water. Garnish with lemon zest. Schweppes recommends classic gins: Bombay Sapphire, Finsbury Platinum, Tanqueray London Dry Gin, Bulldog London Dry Gin, Beefeater 24, Gordon's London Dry Gin
This topic is so difficult, due to so many possibilities are there. But my choice is a picture of my first Gin Tonic with cukes. And of course, I shared it with a special person ;-)

I remember tonic suits back in the day and I still occasionally see tonic-painted cars but, just to show we copy from nature, here's a tonic bug!
I'm posting quite a few pictures of the Thick-legged Flower Beetle but that's mainly because it's all I can find in my garden and they appear to love oxeye daisies which are the only wildflowers I have at the moment!
They're also quite happy to sit for photos and don't mind the business end of a macro lens invading their personal space.
