Well folks here is my tommorow's post, and it will be one of a set of 3, a very early shoot in the morning, so everyone have a great day and thank you as always for visiting.
Sometimes you just have to remind to yourself that it'll all be oki. Maybe not now..maybe not tommorow but one day. Remind yourself that things have changed for a reason...people change for a reason. You just have to let go and move on. It's going to be hard and you're gonna feel lonely but just hold on. Cause who's to say that tommorow won't be the best day of your life?

Sorry more Mardis Mill. Well I am paying for my trip here Sunday now. I cant seem to stay out of the water even in cool weather and I already had a cold when I was here and now it turned into bronchitis. On the upside the doctor wont let me go back to work until Monday. Yah!! I just hope to be good enough to hit the trail a while Sat. I may have trouble tommorow. No work and a rainy day.....

You've seen most of these guys but the new ones are Rip Hunter(on the bottom), and Heatwave(on the top), and Captain Cold(on the top).
Don't get me wrong, I was very happy with yesterday's post, but as an overall image it was not very impactful, as the bee blended into the background, and although it was an unobstructed shot, it was like the bee was hiding in plain sight. In contrast to that, in todays post, this Arctic Yellowjacket is mostly covered by the flower, yet it stands out easily.
I do have just a couple of full body shots, that I may post in the future. Still, more bee shots to come, but may sprinkle in something different tommorow as an intermission.

I had a new lens yesterday so was determined to go down the coast and try it out. Despite the fact it was a gloomy night I had great fun, and for a short time a bit of colour appeared as a backdrop to the gloom. Burden of Tommorow is by the Tallest Man on Earth, and puts pressure on better conditions to test it out today.

i Found out Today that my Grandad loved photography! and used to buy a lot of film cameras, ive never actually really met him ( he died when i was 4) but its amazing to know someone in my family shared my interest

With the beginning of May, CTL Logistics stopped fulfilling cement shipments to the Grupa Ożarów transloading facility in Gdańsk Osowa. The picture presents the first half last CTL train TMS 554082 on the heavy incline leading from Gdynia Główna towards Gdańsk Osowa, doubleheaded by SM42-2547 and SM42-2462. This S-curve is one of the last on this very challenging part of the line no. 201, the train will soon pass the distant signals before its terminus - Gdańsk Osowa. The transports of Cement have now been overtaken by Cargoway, which uses its only SM42 to run those loaded trains up the grade. The effects of that you will see in tommorow's post ;D.
At the same time, it's the time of the last trains on this part of the Pomeranian railway network overall - as you can see, modernisation efforts have already started and the line will soon be electrified with an additional third track built for overtaking heavy trains running up the grade. Its modernisation is to be completed as a part of a huge effort to improve the commuter transit network in the Gdańsk - Sopot - Gdynia area. Additionally, it is to be used as a bypass route for cargo trains from the Gdynia harbour, which now are restricted by the throughput of the clogged mainline running along the coast of the Bay of Gdańsk.

Taken the same day as yesterday's post, while there were many Canada Geese about, I only saw two ducks, a Mallard couple. It was exciting as it has been so long since I have seen a duck. Winter is just too long.
I did get a couple of shots of the couple together but it was from a poor vantage point (a Canada Goose had the best seat in the house) Although I was happy to get them, none are worth posting. This of course is the male, walking quite cautiously on the ice. I imagine it would have been slippery. Light is pretty harsh, but I was not complaining as they were a welcomed sight. Tommorow, the female.
Yesterday morning I was out at my local park quite early and managed to get a few shots at a decent distance, still quite far away, so this is a hefty crop.
I do think that the male Blue-Winged teals are attractive birds, but I do not find them very photogenic. Colour especially in their head can be difficult to capture and the white parts are so easy to end up being blown out. It seems to get good detail in the bright parts you need really flat light and then colours in the darker parts are almost non-existent.
Overall, I am pretty happy with this one, but for the most part when I see a couple, I tend to put my attention towards the female, of which I will post one tommorow, this guy's better half.

Another snow shot from Elizabeth Park. I am going to attempt to make it out tommorow for some new photos. I hope you are all ready for Christmas! I've got a little more shopping tommorow, then i am hopefully all done:)
The Janikosoda soda production plant was established in the 1950s in the then-village of Janikowo. The population of Janikowo skyrocketed directly afterwise to accommodate for the needed workforce in the new facility. With many ups and downs in its history, the plant retained its very Soviet feel. It was positioned on the fields near the town and stood out of the rural background of Kujawy.
Sadly, with increasing competition from Turkey and ever-rising EU taxes on industry, the company Qemetica, previously Ciech, which owns the soda factory in Janikowo is forced to shut down production. The process has been ongoing since february of this year, when there was a week long stop in production of soda in the facility. The entire production is to be shut down... tommorow, with the end of July 2025.
In May, we made a spontaneous visit near the factory, and by sheer accident managed to photograph SM42-2369 right as it was shunting with a couple of wagons near the factory premises. The loco was produced in 1976 and was assigned to the soda plant since then. After the company Transoda organised all soda transport in Poland, the locomotive kept being shifted between the different plants. Ultimately, its home factory ends its career but the loco persists.
