Wir durften heute, nur ein Tag nach dem Wal-Erlebnis, schon wieder einen unvergesslichen Moment geniessen. Mit unserem Mietauto, haben wir diesen abgelegenen Strand entdeckt, an dem Gruppen von See-Elefanten und Robben am Strand lagen, wie mir schien um zu schlafen. Die Tiere waren anfangs nervös, als wir auftauchten, vorallem das See-Elefantenmännchen hat uns mit einem lauten Grollen begrüsst. Die Tiere schienen uns aber bald nicht mehr als Gefahr zu sehen und achteten unser nicht weiter. Friedlich schliefendie Tiere, von Zeit zu Zeit reckte einer den Kopf und kratzte sich am Bauch. Andere schliefen Tief und rülpsten alle paar Minuten, so als ob sie am Verdauen wären.
Punta Tombo es una reserva de fauna en la costa atlántica de la provincia del Chubut, en la República Argentina, y una de las principales y más numerosas colonias continentales de cría del Pingüino de Magallanes (Spheniscus magellanicus), ubicada a 100 km al sur del valle inferior del río Chubut, donde se encuentran las ciudades de Rawson y Trelew.
Fue creada por un decreto de 1972 con la categoría de reserva natural turística; en 1985, una nueva ley la designó reserva faunística provincial y reafirmó el objetivo inicial de proteger una de las colonias más numerosas de pingüinos de Magallanes, así como la nutrida colonia de aves que forman parte del ecosistema costero. Punta Tombo is a wildlife reserve on the Atlantic coast of the province of Chubut, in the Argentine Republic, and one of the main and most numerous continental breeding colonies of the Magellanic Penguin (Spheniscus magellanicus), located 100 km south of the lower valley of the Chubut River, where the cities of Rawson and Trelew are located.
It was created by a decree of 1972 with the category of natural tourist reserve; In 1985, a new law designated it a provincial wildlife reserve and reaffirmed the initial objective of protecting one of the largest colonies of Magellanic penguins, as well as the large colony of birds that are part of the coastal ecosystem. Sharing a friendly moment on the 6th floor with me in the middle of Tokyo.
I just came back from a quick raid at the local convenience store when this dragonfly came in for landing outside my door on the 6th floor. We watched each other for about 20 seconds until I realised I had my Pentax mounted with a 90mm macro inside my room..
When I got back out it was still there waiting for me...Squeezed off about 20 shots and then it flew away among the roof tops..
Dont know why, but it made my day beautiful...

Perspectiva transversal do conjunto carril-travessa, representado por uma barra de carril com cerca de 10 cm de comprimento.
A união do carril à travessa efectua-se por meio de uma base (chapim) imobilizada por parafusos (tirafundos) e garras de fixação.
Tombo do carril [via] — ligeira inclinação do eixo vertical do carril, para o interior da via, a fim de garantir uma perfeita adaptação da face superior da cabeça (mesa de rolamento) ao aro dos rodados dos veículos, compensando a elasticidade da alma que, sob o efeito das cargas, se deforma. Em Portugal, esta inclinação é de 1:20, nas vias renovadas e de 1:15 nas vias clássicas não renovadas.

I kept hearing somebody with a bad muffler cruising around our neighborhood just before midnight and then saw a truck make several whodunnits in our cul-de-sac. I headed up the drive to mainly to be seen as a crazy ol' fool best left alone when I saw a second car pull up behind the noisy one. My first thought was, "oh crap, there's 2 of them" when the red & blue lights came on and the deputy blipped their siren. Next thing I see from my hilltop perch is the noisy-ass truck leaving for good. Thank you, deputy!

Punta Tombo is a nature reserve about 100km from
Trelew. It has the largest colony of Magellanic
Penguins on the continent, which can reach over a
million. The landscape enroute is uninteresting -
flat, dry and deserty for the most part.
Inside the reserve thousands of black and white
penguins, characterised with a v-neck stripe, are busy
rearing their chicks. The newborns are grey, fluffy
and slightly awkward-looking. Under almost every bush
there's a penguin nest. Some are really close to the
(tourist) trails but the penguins seems completely
unperturbed by us. Only 10% of the reserve is open to
visitors so penguins can live relatively undisturbed.
On the way back, the tour guide announces we're going
to Gaiman. I`m not too alarmed as I think I could have
missed something interesting yesterday. Unfortunately
this is not the case. I end up revisiting all the same
places and when we arrive at the same tea house I went
to yesterday I decide to go off and visit 'El
Desafio', the recycled park which I snubbed yesterday.
It's an odd but charming kind of place looked after by
an 82 year-old man. Every enclosure or exhibit has
been made out of rubbish i.e. plastic bottles, cans
and scrap metal etc. It's a bit run down but very
colourful. There are cliched messages pinned
everywhere but some of these you never tire of? One of
my favourites is ´Live your life however you want.
