Today's Forecast: Blistering Heat and Bone-Dry! Chances of this dry stream bed filling with water: Less than nil.
I had the questionably good fortune of spending a night camping in my vehicle in this foreboding and forsaken landscape. Nothing stirred during the day (except I did spot a lizard). After sunset, however, the desert came to life. I heard various types of critters making noises throughout a rather sleepless night.

Todays Tropical Cyclone Dovi project was this little image - a simple idea but harder to construct than I first thought, but overall I got the look I had in my mind somewhere!

As someone said, 'Time is just the space between our memories' and the summertimes I spent at Laredo, on the beach, playing among the dunes, with my friends... are part of my best memories.
Paradisea liliastrum (Trichterlilie), "Auf der Mussen", Lesachtal, Kärnten, Austria. An alpine meadow full of flowers not only with orchids is a real joy for nature lovers. These lilies are very rare in Austria and only occur in this region.
