An unusual night when the sun didn'tlight up the clouds from below, but the colour came through the low cloud. Fire at the Pageant is by the Felice Brothers.
Ein Lichtstrahl und aus etwas Einfachem wird plötzlich etwas ganz Wunderbares
A ray of light and something simple becomes something very wonderful.
Two of my favourite things ...candles and flowers.
I combined them both to make this picture
Hope you like it :-))

A newly created angel of mine in blue sitting next to a recently purchased t-light holder.
(I printed this image out to include in my album which sits on the coffee table in the telly room. The telly was on when I came into the room clutching my photo - the first words I heard from the presenter of the tv show were "let's hope our guardian angel is watching over us". If you believe in synchronicity this was one of those moments. It made me smile with delight.)
Every time I see you, I feel a little flame in my heart lighting up......
Handmade wooden heart T-Light holders, made from recycled fence boards.
December 1st 2011 ....day one of the countdown to Christmas
It is a wonderful time of the year when we look forward to celebrating the birth of our Lord
and Saviour.
I love to see the excitement on the children's faces (and the adults too)
There is an air of anticipation that is not apparent at any other time of the year
I love it!!
Shell of a former garage/service station.
120 second exposure, handheld light producing device set to orange, white and plenty of sodium vapor tlight.
Low key composition. One t-light candle, but the glass candle holder is designed to take a much bigger one.
A composition used in Week 51 & 52 - Celebrations- set by the Compositionally Challenged Group.
Again, me and my obsession for "perfection"? Actually, I'm not looking for "perfection" per se as much as the angle that will be most flattering to my traits. I'm glad for the way my make up came out today. I went through a session of peeling off every hair on my face with the tweezer...Yes, painful but how rewarding? I mean, I need a whole lot less foundation or concealer to hide away the "shadow" of my beard and moustache... And thus look "more natural". At least, that's how I like to see myself. So the choice of lighting, as usual, is key. I might have move a little further awayu from the window and perhaps my face would have had a little more shape? Perhaps. I hate winter for the cold but I love it as far as soft and uniform lighitng is concerned. I'm a big Lover" of natural light. So what you see is the fruit of the light bouncing off the snow to my face. Ideallt, the tlight should be coming from above my face but I won't complain :-)

A Quintet of posers.
Carol (on the left) and Yvonne were our next door neighbours. In July 2015 they sold their condo for mega dinero and are building a home on the Sunshine coast in Sechelt.
They had just returned from a 2 month vacation to India and hiking in Nepal so they came for dinner to regale us with their trip experience.
Friend Don on the left (also lives in our building), Carol, John, Yvonne y moi.
Of course we consumed mucho vino or this photo would not have happened. Also its the first time the on camera flash was used.
Happy New Year to you all.
The three little candles have not, as yet, been lighted but it's dark enough outside, with all this rain, that they could be lit, very soon!!

The largest of the Fairmount Park Charms houses, Strawberry Mansion illustrates three distinct phases in American Architecture as well as the lives of two important and distinguished Philadelphians.
The featured stories of this house span over three centuries and incorporate the life of the acclaimed colonial Judge William Lewis (1752-1819) to the national celebration of the Sesquicentennial of 1926 (celebrating America’s 150th anniversary.) Of course the story involves tales of lavish parties and strawberries.
Formerly known as “Summerville,” the center section of Strawberry Mansion was built in the Federal style around 1789 by renowned lawyer, judge and state legislator, William Lewis. During his lifetime, Lewis dominated the American legal field and took on countless high profile cases involving slavery, British debts, privateering, and the Aaron Burr treason case. He is credited for drafting the first law in the US abolishing slavery and was an advisor to both George Washington and Alexander Hamilton.
ODC2 - Fill the Frame - not sure its a very interesting subject but I did try to get as much of it in the frame as possible - looking for an abstract style result.

I was bored and it wasn't windy so I had some fun with t-lights :) Not my best but I liked them and it was enjoyable.
I also made a Fanpage so if you like my stuff, please like it for me so I can keep you all updated on my work!
♥ I adore these little rainbow coloured T-light holders, they really glisten. I often light candles, especially on dark winter nights. But today I lit them for Opa, (my Dutch grandfather) who passed over to spirit 5 years ago today ♥
