Used a Titanium Nitride (TiN) drill bit (easily identified by the gold like colour). Had taken quite a few shots before this one from different angles, but didnt find any of them really appealing until I used some DIY Blue gel to get this lighting. In hindsight, I should have used a reflector on the right.

I backed an everyday carry knife on kickstarter last year. They got more backers than anticipated, got overwhelmed, went dark repeatedly, not responding to any queries for long periods of time and got all their backers upset. I started to suspect it was a scam as all the excuses sounded like the dog ate their project.
So I was surprised when the knife showed up in the mail today. Looks nice, the blade seems sharp. Has a couple of design and execution flaws, but not bad for an amateur kickstarter job.
This is a large Gentlemens roller ball pen , done in Granadillo wood that is part heart wood, the darker reddish part and the sap wood the lighter part, this is a non posting pen which means the cap does not attach to the end while writing the hardware id gold Titanium Nitride for a very long lasting beauty and the finish is also quite durable.

naeimsharifat: Whats "dlc" coating? @rocketbobs
rocketbobs: @naeimsharifat they put the stanchions in a tank and ramp up the pressure to insane levels, super heat it then fire acetylene direct onto the surface. The gas detonates & under the pressure of the chamber micro diamonds form on the surface of the metal. The process is so extreme that you can only do metals like stainless. The result is ultra tough & friction free. Looks weird, no two parts colour the same, and just rocks :D
rivorzr: Nicee 👌 @rickymonochrome @rocketbobs
