Shot with Macro Takumar 50mm F4 lens on Sony Alpha A200 dSLR with M42 mount adapter.
Thanks to HPC friends Sudhakar & Pramod for introducing me to the M42 world of lenses.
M42 is a screw mount standard once used by many DSLR / Lens manufacturers. Lenses with M42 mount are widely available on eBay for relatively cheaper prices. These are all manual lenses in terms of focusing. They can be used with a M42 conversion adapter on new digital SLRs. I think Pentax models have native support for this mount.

Making a simple object look interesting by tipping over the bucket a little. The focus draws the attention to the bucket as well. The double rear tyres and single front tyres make the vehicle look powerful.
The damaged bricks show the age of this set, it's from 1974 and obviously enjoyed to the fullest.
The best I found yet for storing small beads and chalk powder.
Beware that they generally do not close quite perfectly, and do not turn your chalk powder box upside down like I did.

Walking past a large pine tree, I was fascinated by the future pine cones growing out of the tip of the branch.
Also note the new pine needles, just starting to emerge from their waxy sheaths among them.
The scent of the pine was of course unbelievable.
Well, I would actually prefer to buy tiles that are either glued to paper or loose, however, often times the glass tiles I like come with a mesh backing. It's really hard to remove and I've tried everything from hot, soapy water to vinegar, acetone, Goo Off, turpentine, gasoline and probably a few more that I can't recall. Recently, someone told me that DRANO works like a charm, so I tried it. Yep, it's true. You can use any drain unclogger and dilute it 3 parts water to 1 part DRANO. Soak your tile sheets overnight and the next day, they come off pretty easily. It's not perfect, but is the best option that I've tried. For those who don't care to use such a caustic material, vinegar in hot water works some of the time too.

Buskers. You'll be able to find everywhere in the world someone trying to tell you a story by facing you directly, never behind the shelter given by a stage of a concert.
But in NYC, accordingly to the culture of "selling everything in the best way as possible", you'll find not only buskers, but also marketing experts: precise choice of look and style, great music and voice, a well made cd with a high level of recording, a link to the major social networks, high communication skills and , obviously, a large "container" for tips.
The result is the general NYC equation: creativity=money

AEC Marshal, WAL 323G. Hoveringham Stone Ltd:
Working out of Dene Quarry, Cromford, Derbys'.
Sporting an insulated body, so it must have been used on Tarmac as well, loaded with what looks like 'Sugar stone', we used to run this stone from Middleton Mine at the top of Cromford hill to various British Sugar plants from Kidderminster to Bury St Edmunds, and all refineries in between, used in the production process of refining beat sugar. Or it could just be 6'' clean stone !
This female orange tip gave good views while feeding and the resting on some flowers. Its quite difficult to tell the female orange tip apart from other common whites, until you see the underside of the wings that is.
This is my mom's cat Q-Tip, Q-ee for short. He's got such an interesting, exotic little face and the odd eyes (he hears just fine, if you're wondering). He's a loveable little bugger and I heart him.
Mind you, my mother always hated cats. When she told me one day last year she'd gotten two cats (one for her and one for my aunt - they live together), I asked her who she was and what had she done with my mom. I still can't get used to my mom being a cat person. It's way cute. :)
