Smile on Saturday - Tiny Toys

A small vintage die-cast metal dump truck with the heavy load of a large steel marble and a piece of cat food. I added Woody for some scale and to make you smile. I was hoping he would be more engaged to play given the food under the marble, but he seemed content to nap. I got a couple of "action" shots later that I posted, but I decided I liked this one more. Hope this makes you smile on Saturday. :-)

Den Kartoffelkäfer (Colorado beetle) kann ich nicht mehr finden, weil die erwachsenen Kartoffelkäfer sich zum Überwintern im Boden eingraben. Sie verlassen ihre Winterquartiere erst im Frühjahr wieder.

Mein kleiner Herbie ist wesentlich beliebter und hat sich extra für mich durch den Kartoffelkeller gewühlt.

This little fairy is 2" (about 5cm).

I was in a parking lot and happened to look down---and she was at my feet.

Since no one was around, I assumed she wanted to come home with me--- and we've been together ever since... :))

For Smile on Saturday, Tiny Toys.I have it on good authority that these are "Moshi Monsters" and they are about 4cm high, hope thats tiny enough. I had great fun taking and processing this, I do love trying t make toys look "alive" and like they are interacting. Happy Smile on Saturday, have a great day folks, Im posting and running but will try to catch up with you this evening.

Lady Salt & Sir Pepper are very close friends since early childhood. The tiny toy-horses had once been part of a little animal farm set, which was abandoned quite some years ago, but never forgotten. However, for this week’s theme, the two little horses have been re-animated when taken outside into the fresh air and onto the ‘Green, Green Grass of Wales - where not only life came back to Lady Salt and Sir Pepper, but also lovely memories :-) …..

They have always made me smile and I hope they make YOU smile, too !

What are we going to wear when the apocalypse comes. We certainly wont be wearing the designer clothes, rags and long black coats that seem to feature in Apocalypse movies. All manufacturing will be at end so there will be no new clothes. Will we be like Adam and Eve and resort to vine leaves. But I like to think we could be like the tiny doll in this photo and all dress in flowers. 👠🌻
