I wish you all a wonderful Weekend!

I was luck enough to find these different stages of growth for Chocolate Tube Slime Mold on three different logs in our woods.

I think ...

I don't have an ID for it.

See photo in comments for a larger view of it on a log covered in moss.

Found in damp shady woods on an old fallen log after days of rain and hot humid weather.

snowflakes...on the mosses and forest today.

I really appreciate your comments and faves. I'm not a hoarder of contacts, but enjoy real-life, honest people. You are much more likely to get my comments and faves in return if you fit the latter description. Just sayin. :oD

They are so delicate and beautiful.

It was a good day to explore all the little things that can be found in the forest.

This Powderhorn Lichen is on a log in one of the deer trails I follow embedded in soft beautiful mosses.

Each part of the log presents with different view of different lichens and mosses.

November brings out the beauty in small things found in the forest after all the flowers are gone and all the leaves have fallen.

I really like the light in this picture.

After the rains last week, I hurried out to appreciate any little fungi I could find before they disappear for the year.

I found these beauties on some wet soft wood in a darker part of the forest.

I brought fairy lights to spread behind the fungi, I'd seen this method used in a tutorial on shooting mushrooms and fungi.

:)

More from my Little People.

I love my mountain climbers, they seem to love climbing just about anything!

HO Scale 1:87.

These guys were few and far between this year with our drought.

Thankfully we have been getting some rain off and on so I was able to spot this little beauty.

I wanted to go somewhere nice and warm today. So I made some sand dunes out of scarves.

The figures are HO Scale 1:87.

See how I did it in the first comment.

:)

This time of the year our woods are fairly colorless so lichen and moss stand out with all of their brilliance.

Chocolate Tube Slime developing.

This has been a nice wet spring with plenty of rain. We've had a couple of very humid days which is perfect for fungi and slime molds.

Imagine my excitement of finding these after not being able to see these beauties for a few years!

tiny fungi on a stick I spotted in the woods.

I had to move the stick so I could get light on it.

The stick is photographed in the photo comments. Yes, it was tiny!

It looks like they are going to come alive and walk across the log!

I carry a small square Ulanzi light with me in the dark part of the forest to help light up fungi.

I have always been very fascinated by some dandelion shots I have seen here on flickr - so, after my "tulips" study, here are some more shots from ... "dandelionstan"!

Have a nice day ;-D

on a bouquet of Phlox...

I just love the hue of this lichen.

The family of lace bug is Tingidae in which there are very small insects from the order Hemiptera. There are about 2000 species of lace bugs worldwide. They are called Lace bugs because they have a lacelike pattern of ridges and membranous areas on its wings and upper body surface. The adult, usually less than 5 mm (0.2 inch) long.

We had a hard frost and I was able to find ice even on the moss in the creek.

The moss leaves cup the moisture and use it. How ingenious is that?

In this photo you can see where the moss has spread its spores!

I won't try to ID this moss as I'm no expert. But I thought this was very cool.

“El catador de belleza termina por encontrarla en todas partes, filón de oro en las venas más innobles, y goza, al tener en sus manos esas obras maestras fragmentarias, manchadas o rotas, un placer de entendido que colecciona a solas una alfarería que otros creen vulgar“. (Marguerite Yourcenar) "

Seen through my macro lens on a cold morning.

The blue is the water from the creek below.

Temperature changes provide moisture to the moss allowing it to thrive while the moss only feet from the stream are going dormant.

Take a look at the details large!

Dandelion in the summer pasture with a hard frost.

Layered two scarves onto a table with a white background.

I wanted to do a two toned photo as the scarves were so bright pink-red.

So I used monotone to shoot it but worked off the color RAW file.

I added clouds for sky with sky swap and made sure they were just barely visible. Otherwise it looked very fake.

I used Sepia toning and some adjustments to the contrast, highlights, and whatnot in the scarves themselves.

This was a fun experiment.

:)

Sometimes in life opposites, just attract.

Many thanks too, all that view my picture.

Tiny bud on chives plant, Spring has arrived

Morning sun on a log. So small, so full of life.

Crawling around on the ground... with a magnifying glass!

Chocolate Tube Slime Mold!

Mold on mold!

You may have to look close but the top left has little strings on it that can only be more little molds growing!

It's getting to be that time of year where I start to dig things out and get in the winter spirit!

Aren't they beautiful?

This is not time zero and yet it seems very close to it.

This is PX70 film opened while it was still developing. i'm working on a series using this process counting up seconds before opening the polaroid. I'd like to find a similar mood to some of my old shots .

www.flickr.com/photos/mironabside/6550154227/in/set-72157...

The fastest you open it, the more time-zeroed it looks. for this one, I might have waited a bit too long as its more like artistic TZ than proper TZ

www.flickr.com/photos/mironabside/5246467750/in/set-72157...

, still quite happy with the experience .

I think this new PX70 has potential
