I love it when the ocean comes to you in a big foamy greeting.
This is from our Spring Break trip to Myrtle Beach.
Have a great day everyone!
Looking Close... on Friday! theme Bubbles
A rather unusually sunny and frosty start to the day here in the SE of England meant that I had to find the bubble solution and try out some frozen bubble photography ...and then I noticed that today's theme in LCoF was Bubbles - how fortunate! I only succeeded with a very few and very small bubbles and only perched on a comfy bed of moss.
Happy Looking Close... on Friday! 😊

Macro of a single glass Trollbead on a piece of black shimmering fabric. I took this picture for this week's Bead(s) theme for Smile on Saturday. Although I took several shots of Swarovski beads, seed beads and other tiny beads, I choose this one because I like the drama of just one single bead. Plus it is such a gorgeous one which I really love to wear!

I tried an earlier shot like this with matches and I "liked" the result, but I didn't "love" the result so I had to try again. For this attempt, I used a spray bottle to create the water drops. The drops formed much better this way as opposed to dropping water from a straw. As for the subject matter, it is almost valentine's day so I went with those candy hearts with the stupid little messages on them. An example of some of the messages: "EMail", "Got Love", "All Star", "Be Cool", "Dream", "Lover Boy", and "Hug Me". That is just a small sample set.
You can see a lot more of the details larger

Emily "Honey" Ho's original restaurant, Ko'olau Golf Club, Kaneohe, Windward Side, O'ahu, Hawaii. Honey was Don Ho's mother. Don Ho was a popular musician singing both traditional and contemporary music of his time, especially in the 1960s. One of his songs was called "Tiny Bubbles."
Tiny soap bubbles (they are only about 1/8" in diameter) taken with my new macro lens, a Sigma 70mm f2.8 macro.
Happy Bokeh Wednesday!
Macro close-up of sea foam that when post-processed took on a variety of colors from light refracting inside the tiny bubbles. Retitled, re-edited and re-released without watermarks.
I took this picture last Friday above the Walkabout on the Riverbank. Clearly someone did not like their beer and just left it on the bench.

I felt the need to do something simplistic. Something serene with a clean color pallet. This image is from my excursion to the beautiful Catalina Islands. The message is meant to be simple and easy to read. The title comes from a little known fact that we are in essence 72% water. A metaphor for the fragility of our peace of mind, the brevity of our lives, the pouring out of ourselves into relationships and work and our inability to hold back our feelings and emotions. Emotions that just bubble out of the tiniest crack or seam… Lady Caroline

Wishing that I had my daughter slightly more in focus, but it was the bubbles and light I was after. We were quite surprised to see the trail of rainbow bokeh bubbles floating into the sky.
Happy Weekend to All!
Here's some good abstract bubbles for you. I got the lighting just like I wanted it and even got some bonus bubbles in the background.
The title came from this Don Ho song that I cannot get out of my head.
Shots Like this one from UsokChoe were my inspiration.
P.S. It's Diet Mountain Dew...I'm completely addicted to the stuff.
