snow = possible sleet, rain or wintery mix which will melt as soon as it hits ground but could possibly form a little ice on the roads which will put all of Georgia into a panicked state of doom and everyone will run out and buy up all the bread, milk, water and beer in the area. then in the morning, whomever is in charge of closing the schools will decide that those 50,000# school buses cannot possibly travel safely over such a small amount of ice and will close the schools. so us stay at home moms will start drinking about noon, 'cause you know, we stocked up on that shit. just in case...it was a snow day :-)
and that my friends, is the definition of snow in georgia.

Took this at Paolo's in Charlestown the other night. I was trying to get the texture of the tin ceiling to show better and ended up at one point with this, which I thought was kinda cool though not at all what it really looked like.

The roof of this collapsed building is made from flattened tin cans, common practice for the period 1860’s.
As it's getting colder now I decided to burn some candles. Tins kept enough distance not to burn her whiskers but I think she liked the light. She's a true romantic ;)
During my mini exploration to find tin tabernacles, I think this is the nicest of them taking everything into account.

This old house stands along the old country road between Hallstahammar and Ramnäs. It has been neglected for years, the yard overgrown and the house seemingly empty. Now it seems that someone has started renovations. It's an example of a style called "Snickarglädje", which basically means old wooden houses with decorations and often (as seen here) a rotunda. Even if this is a quite modest example of wooden decoration, it is very charming.

A natural rock sculpture, carved by glaciers out of the rocky cliffs of Western Brook Pond, bears a striking resemblance to the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz. Western Brook Pond is a long fjord that once reached the ocean, but as the glaciers receded and the land rebounded it became land-locked and the sea water was gradually flushed out by fresh water streams until it is now a ultra pure fresh water lake. Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland. To see it the light has to be at the right angle.
