I guess sometimes life can be defined as the crossing of diferent timelines defining relevant moments.

TIMELINES // Phases of life

ralf scherer

Public space is a stage, a stage of unpredictable situations and moments. People who enter this stage are inevitably drawn into a play that has no prescribed script and in which a never-ending act of never-recurring moments is strung together.

Capturing these small moments, these intentional and unintentional moments on the street with the camera is an art. The artist Ralf Scherer is at home in this art of capturing, street photography.

His street pictures show people in different and everyday situations in their lives. Spontaneous, but photographed with a great sense of what is yet to come. They capture a moment that is now already part of the past.

In Ralf Scherer's photographs, one can sense a great deal of empathy and respect for the other person and the people. In each of his pictures, the small details and the non-verbal communication can be sensed with one's own eyes, if one sets out to look for these small details in Ralf Scherer's pictures...

TIMELINES // LebensPhasen

Overview of the ExoMars programme timeline.

The ExoMars programme is a joint endeavour between Roscosmos State Corporation ESA. Apart from the 2022 mission, it includes the Trace Gas Orbiter (TGO) launched in 2016. The TGO is already both delivering important scientific results obtained by its own Russian and European science instruments and relaying data from NASA’s Curiosity Mars rover and InSight lander. The module will also relay the data from the ExoMars 2022 mission once it arrives at Mars.

WEEK 3 – Poplar/Kirby Kroger, Set I

(3/3) As for where fresh fare falls in the Kroger décor timeline, you might notice that this period of late 2000s/very early 2010s falls neatly between the script décor of the mid-2000s and the 2012 décor of, ostensibly, 2012. But hopefully you remember our earlier discussions of 2012 décor not actually debuting in its namesake year; and sure enough, reports indicate that the store at 5995 Stage, in Bartlett Towne Center, expanded and remodeled in 2009 – noteworthy because that store indeed has 2012/bountiful décor (and an early version of it, at that), meaning that package likely had its first introduction to the Memphis market at that location.

In short, what I’m trying to say is that, while at first glance its usage in the Memphis market might seem to fit evenly between script and bountiful in the décor lineage, fresh fare as a whole was around earlier than it debuted in Memphis; implemented not exclusively, but concurrently – with script at one end of the spectrum, and bountiful at the other; and was used, as I noted in the previous description, more as a special package reserved only for specific stores rather than as a general décor to be used in any given remodel. Why, it’s possible we could even have seen *more* fresh fare stores pop up locally after the two in 2010, had the 2011 buyout of the Memphis-area Schnucks stores (see link above) not derailed what I’m sure were numerous existing remodel plans.

So now you’re all caught up on fresh fare! Unfortunately, in accomplishing that, I’ve kinda talked over these last two photos, our first ones of the interior of this store. Don’t worry – I’ll tell you all about ‘em, when you come back on Thursday… ;)

9th October 2018. Passing the magnificent Switherland signal box. BR 7MT Britannia 4-6-2 No.70013 Oliver Cromwell with a rake of TPO [travelling post office] coaches. I am glad I made the most of 2018 seeing Oliver Cromwell as much as I could because I knew that its boiler certificate would run out at the end of the year. We are now in 2023 and although No.70013 is in the middle of an overhaul at Loughborough, who knows when the Britannia will be able to flex her muscles. Switherland Signal Box is part of the Great Central Railway and the photo-shoot was organised by TimeLine.

It may not share too many things with "Inception" outside of a slight similarity in means of quantum teleportation, but "Source Code" does have an ending that's worthy of interpretation, much like Christopher Nolan's (much weaker) hit from last year. In fact, some of the same theories applied to "Inception" could work for Duncan Jones' new "director-for-hire" follow-up to "Moon." I'll wait until after the jump to go into details, since obviously this discussion will include spoilers. But while I do believe Jones (and maybe to a lesser degree the original screenwriter, Ben Ripley) sets up a precise idea of what happens at the end, I've already encountered people with different thoughts on it. Because of the confusion, I must note that by "two places at once" I mean within the same dimension/reality/timeline and didn't intend to dismiss the parallel worlds idea. But even with that said, I might have been confusing myself. He could technically be in two places at the same time the way there are simultaneously two Martys in 1955 in "Back to the Future," due to time travel. I just mean his consciousness itself could not be split in half. Anyway, I'm giving myself another headache.
