Imaged from Oxfordshire, UK between 22:50 - 02:00 BST overnight 18th/19th August 2019. Taken with a Canon 1100D with 18-55mm kit lens. ISO-800 for 30 seconds, 348 images were processed in Lightroom, then stacked using StarStaX. Cumulative files were saved in StarStaX and the cumulative files were turned into a video using PIPP and Windows Movie Maker 10.

This one took much longer than expected. The skin does a great job of protecting the tomato. I had to use a pin to poke holes into the skin to speed up the decomposition process. I also used a knife to slice the back portion of the tomato to speed up the process. I really enjoyed making it though. Hope you enjoy watching it. Stay tuned for more. Thanks :)

Currently, I'm trying to learn about time lapse videos by creating them. Our bird feeder is pretty well attended in the morning, so this morning I set my camera on a tripod and had my camera record 240 images, ten seconds apart. This video has been created from that 40 minute time frame by a free program called Time Lapse Assembler at a rate of 6 frames per second. There were a few frames discarded for low activity so the result is only a 35 second video. I used iMovie to put music to this video. The birds are finches, doves, western scrub jays, and I think some sparrows. It turns out that if you feed them, they will come.

Well I have this posted already but before it was done as a time lapse through startrails.exe and then I attempted to lighten the video in Final Cut which didn't turn out so well. Because these pictures were shot with a star trail in mind most of them were darker and needed to be lightened. So I redid the time lapse video in photoshop CS3. You can see the star trail photo here

This is a video compilation of star trails videos I've created over several years. There is an older compilation on my channel but this week I've added several more videos and given the video a new soundtrack.

All photos were taken with a Canon 1100D with 18-55mm kit lens, usually at 18mm focal length. Some of the images were taken with a wide angle fish eye attachment on the front of the kit lens to give me a bigger field of view. One video was created using a proper Canon wide angle lens which I borrowed whilst at Astro Farm, in France.

Most of these videos were taken from Oxfordshire, UK, a couple from Astro Farm, which is in Confelons in France, and some were taken from Wales during our video to Buith Well in Wales.

I usually shot at either ISO-1600 or 800, most commonly with 30 second exposures although some of these were 15 second exposures. The images were stacked using StarStaX, with the "save cumulative files" box ticked. The cumulative files were then created in a movie using Windows Movie Maker.

Music is "Convergence" from the album of the same name by Pictures of the Floating World. The music was obtained via www.freemusicarchive.org

Main objective of the project in development is the control of Digital Cameras (pocket or DSLR) via USB.

(not using CHDK for Canon, we really talk with the Camera via USB)

At the moment we are able to control via USB Canon and Nikon cameras (shooting immediate or in time lapse, time shutter speed)

We are working with external sensor (light, movement, sound etc) to trigger the shoot as the event is reached.

This is a timelapse taken at the James C. Veen Observatory near Lowell, Michigan during their September 10, 2011 public night.

The observatory is owned and operated by the Grand Rapids Amateur Astronomical Association, which is a 501(c)(3) corporation. The association opens the observatory to the public on regular occasions throughout the year.

As the video progresses, the observatory is lit by the rising moon. You will also notice the stars above the observatory in motion around the North Star, Polaris. Polaris is near the top of the frame, directly above the observatory.
