Tiltshift offers a very different perspective on a photograph which has been taken from a distance. It almost gives the perspective of being a model.
Seen here on Princes Street, taken from Edinburgh Castle is Lothian Buses in action, all eight vehicles in the picture are manufactured by Wrightbus. Seven Geminis and an Eclipse.

I finally finished my DIY tiltshift made from a broken 50mm lens I had laying around.
I think this perhaps wasn't the best lens to make a tiltshift from, the distortion on the edges is so wildly soft and distorted that I can't see this really being all that great for regular use.
Ultimately, I'm glad I experimented with this but probably won't use this for too much aside from the occasional tinkering. I think when I have the means, I'll just spring for a Lensbaby. :)
Edinburgh castle, tiltshifted with iPad tiltshift generator. Full res file and it worked perfectly. Impressive.
