Meanwhile - as we slide from Window Wednesday into Monochrome Bokeh Thursday, before gently rolling into Fenced Friday - somewhere just outside of Ketchikan, Alaska....

Can't deny I enjoyed playing with the processing on this one :-)

I took this photo outside the cavaletto hotel which is almost next to St. Mark's Square. If you go very early in the morning or very late at night you will see all these gondolas there next to each other, with the waters being perfectly still at that point, and it is one of the best spots to play with them.

The scenery you get when you get here is so impressive that it is not surprising that this point inspired director Luc Besson to shoot part of the famous film "Infinite Blue", announcing the beauties of Amorgos around the world.

The ship "Olympia" that sank here, was built in 1950 under the name "Island", while in 1979 it was renamed "Strymon". At some point in February 1980 he was found sailing as "Olympia", now, in the waters of the Aegean when he found himself in a storm during which north winds were blowing 10 Beaufort. "Olympia" remained ungovernable - the whole crew managed to escape and go ashore - with the sea "washing" it in the bay of Livero.

Just messin'. Never sure how successful these are; my eye just doesn't quite see the 'toy' effect (but then it might not have worked properly). I keep giving a go though, periodically ;)

I’m looking forward to next month’s BDC championship at Teesside Autodrome. I decided to look through my old RAW files and post this image from 2015’s event.

Thanks for looking.

A walk on the beach as the sunsets across the sands at Whitby.

Took my camera for a walk in my lunch hour today. Not sure if they fake tilt 'n' shift efforts have worked too well ? ? ?

I like all three photos in different ways, but not sure which one to put in to my project52 ? ?

What do you think ?

1, 2. or 3?

Alcatraz Island is located in the San Francisco Bay, 1.5 miles (2.4 km) offshore from San Francisco, California, United States. Often referred to as "The Rock," the small island was developed with facilities for a lighthouse, a military fortification, a military prison (1868), and a federal prison from 1933 until 1963. Beginning in November 1969, the island was occupied for more than 19 months by a group of Aboriginal Peoples from San Francisco who were part of a wave of Native activism across the nation with public protests through the 1970s. In 1972 Alcatraz became a national recreation area and received designation as a National Historic Landmark in 1986.

A town called berwick upon tweed. Took this shot on a Train journey from Edinburg to London. This town is on my wish list to visit.

Tilt & Shift effect of car park in Cromer

Had to use an archived photo from my trip to New York for the shot I wanted to try this Tilt 'n' shift effect on. A birds eye view looking down 5th Avenue from the Empire State Building. The hotel I stayed at was in Bryant Park (a Black and Gold building) just in front of the green area at top left of the picture. Awesome hotel if you ever go there. Couldn't get a high enough shot in Windsor or Hampton!

i've wanted to try this from the first the longest time and i got the opportunity to do it today :)

this is all done with the creative filters on the Canon 60D. it took about 150 images and was shot over the first quarter of the match.

Happy 4th of July everyone :)

More mobile phone fun and games. Just messin'

Again, if the weather and timing is right I reckon you could get a really good fake tilt-shift shot from my vantage point... prob not bright enough on these. No shadow... but if at first you don't succeed... bore your Flickr contacts again and again (ho ho).

I'm sorry I'm very tired :-(

Next chance is Monday versus the Wolves...

Expect some more mobile phone fun after that (whether you want it or not!!)
