The tiles were generously donated to CASA San Miguel, a center for the arts in San Antonio, Zambales. It was one rainy day when CASA's representative, Noli Bunac (here in photo), my hubby and I went to the Mariwasa plant to pick up the tiles for the mosaic project.

Typical Kerala style roof. Our home in Kerala used to have tiled roof. We kept loosing tiles when the coconuts fell on them. Also water would come in through cracks. But it kept the home cool. Now with the concrete roof, it heats up pretty quickly.
