The colour version of the tiger picture.

Born in the Year of Tiger, I had a lovely encounter with an Eastern Tiger Swallowtail butterfly. There are black tiger stripes on his wings, which means he carries my sign (Tiger). A tigeress was meeting a tiger (the male butterfly). Isn’t that something?

Tigeress and a grumpy mom in Ranthambore National Park, India

The tigeress was very thirsty as she had walked a long distance to reach the waterhole on that really hot summer evening.

A young sub adult tigeress tries to hide behind the bush but poor girl didn't know we had already spotted her.

Down to the waterhole for a drink

Couldn't help but share another Tiger image. I like the way she's appearing through the trees.

Tschuna the Amur Tigress at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park, takes to the water to cool off. She usually takes to the water for a late afternoon swim.

This Royal Bengal tigress is named Dhawajhandi. She and her cubs live in Kanha National Park in India. It is estimated that approximately 2,500 are left in the wild.
