A cluster of cherry blossoms along the Tidal Basin in Washington, D.C.

I have seen a lot of pictures taken with tourists standing amongst these men. I thought I might do the same, until I felt there was something sacred about their struggle that built a future for an America that would overcome some serious trials of that time. I could not assume that I understood that struggle and could fairly capture myself amongst them with ease of conscience.
